I find it too convenient that coming into elections where the left is going to be clobbered, there are suddenly multiple mass shootings. Where did the 18 year old in Texas get the money for two AR’s 60 magazines, hundreds of rounds of ammo, and body amour?
We can always count on Joy Reid to say some of the most profoundly and breathtakingly obtuse things imaginable
Every. Single. Day.
And to think of all of the fabulously brilliant people who are deprived of the far-reaching megaphone Joy has been handed...Ann Coulter chiefly among them...who could use such a megaphone far, far more intelligently and to far greater public benefit.
Affirmative-action hiring only brings us mediocrity or worse, and Joy Reid is Exhibit A of that truth.
one comment I saw on other social media was in response to a guy who talked about owning a gun for preparedness reasons. some woman said "what are you preparing for?!". not as a legit question, but more like "you must be crazy". I started to compose my attempt at a snarky comment, but decided not to post anything. either she was being disingenuous to push her position or she really wasn't smart enough to understand the issue.
For what it's worth, in my decades of social media interactions with Leftists, I have never once, not a single time, had one respond with "oh, that's interesting, I hadn't considered that. I'll have to rethink my position. Thank you for taking the time to reply. :-) " I have responded to other posters with a reply like that but I've NEVER had a Leftist say anything even close. Most appear to be online not to learn or listen but to scream at others. That's it.
That being said, if you feel moved to address the question by all means do so. It will probably not be appreciated and maybe not even read by the original poster, but your thoughtful reply will accomplish 2 main things:
1. Your courtesy, eloquence and grace will create an impression of what conservatives are to others. By being polite and not stooping to name-calling you'll be demonstrating to others that conservatives are far better people than what the media portrays us as, and far better than what I've found the typical Leftist to be.
2. Your carefully-crafted post will remain on the site, perhaps forever, and if someone who is actually interested in learning about the issue comes along and happens to read it, your post will help someone understand issues of the day, down the road.
I generally don't argue with Leftists at all...I just try to answer a legitimate question courteously and completely, and if they respond with name-calling and rudeness I simply go on to something else. You never know who will come along next year and learn something from what you've said.
Everybody has their own style and I don't pretend to think my approach is the best, it's just what works for me, that's all.
I keep seeing comments on other social media that disparage "good guys with a gun" when they fail (or aren't allowed) to do anything about an active shooter. well, okay.... so maybe that's not always the answer. but can we have the OPTION? can we allow for the POSSIBLITY?

Biden's been on international tours, jonesing for WWIII, but the Left are afraid of a kid with a rifle.
Ann, I love your brain and your courage. Thanks for being you.
