"...phony "four-star general" (meaning they promoted enough girls and transgenders to impress Senate Democrats)."

Such an amazing line, and true. Ann what is your opinion of Pete Hegseth?

Wow, Ann, I haven’t laughed at one of your articles this hard in what feels like years. You know, we didn’t get DeSantis but we got vengeful Trump and that’s a good enough second. If he doesn’t follow through, I trust you to give him hell for it, and even then, the utter devastation wreaked upon the media on November 6th was worth it. Cheers to the future!

Right as always! Noem is terrible, but I am digging the rest of the draft so far. Obviously love your columns, but I hope you’re planning a podcast where you comment on his cabinet!!

Not thrilled with the Noem pick. She comes across as a lightweight and she was weak on the trans stuff in her state. Distrust Rubio especially after getting rolled by Chuck Shumer, though he is at State and not Justice or Homeland Security.

State has always been, and is, a “safe spot” hotbed of treasonous hyper-liberals.

His pick won't be perfect but far better than his first term. Not too far from where I live (Brooklyn) there's an illegals housing center. I can easily monitor how that remains occupied or gets empty.

I was wondering how you really felt about all of this. Now I know, fabulous, and GO TRUMP!

OK, Trump. You're back in Ann's good graces. Now, don't blow it this time! 🤨

He's to petty to change his mind over one positive article...he'll, Coulter can save his life and she will still be on his sh!t list.🙄

I am so glad you got it wrong too. 😅 but honestly, I have seen the changes in Trump. I do believe (1) he learned from his mistakes and (2) the nation is oh so ready to shift right! His biggest weakness was in picking people around him. Now he has help outside the swamp.

Noem has rubbed me the wrong way on a number of issues but if she is willing to murder a puppy, I don't think she'll get queasy over deporting people. We'll see. Not keen on Rubio for State but like him generally. I wish Rick Scott was majority leader but I suppose Thune is better than Cornyn from having spent a brief amount of time with both. I hope we get JD clones to replace JD and Rubio in the Senate.

Thank you Ann for this perspective and update. Personally I have confidence and faith in President Trump to do what needs to be done to make America strong again. To reject and tweak Michelle Obama’s quote: “For the first time I am proud of the USA”. Changed to “I have always been proud of the USA” Even in these most recent hard times citizens rejected the mess that was being forced down our throats. Thank God. I also know it will take time. Went “hmm” at Kristi Noem appt. as well. Think Homan is the man for the job. I have seen him in interviews and he has never surrendered his toughness on the illegal immigration issue. A little surprised about Pompeo. DeVoss as the previous education secretary has charter school experience, that may help a rebuild and rebrand. Love the Musk and Vivek DOGE union.

Wow. 840 words and not one mention of a certain Eastern European nation whose name starts with U and ends with E...an astonishing feat.

Thank you, Ann...just thank you...(sniff)

Don't worry, Rubio, Waltz, Stefanik, and Hegseth are all-in for continuing the war in Ukraine, continuing the slaughters in Gaza and Lebanon, and nuking Iran. It's like Liz Cheney's in charge of hiring.

I'm all in on the alleged "slaughters in Gaza and Lebanon". Fewer Palestinians = More Peace. As far as I am concerned, Israel should slaughter every man, woman, child, and chicken in Gaza until Hamas surrenders. Or doesn't exist. And if Israel can weaken the Muzz presence in Lebanon, even better, especially for the Christian population there.

Ukraine? I don't really care which gang of corrupt Slavs run it. I mean, as far as I can tell, for hundreds of years no one has really considered an independent Ukraine to be a pressing issue, anyway, so I'm not real sure why it became VITAL TO US INTERESTS so suddenly...wait, I remember: Orange Hitler is Vladimir Putin's puppet, so resistance (putting a blue over yellow flag on your social media profile) to Putin is by-proxy resistance to tRUMP.

You're right about the Russiagate connection to Ukraine, though the neocons hated Russia and Putin long before Trump arrived on the scene. G. H. W. Bush promised we'd never move NATO eastward, but then Clinton, G. W. Bush, and Obama/Nuland did exactly that, the latter even running the "color revolution" in Kiev in 2014.

As to every man, woman, and child in Gaza being responsible for Hamas, that's the definition of a war crime or, in the case of noncombatants, a crime against humanity. Most Americas have no more control over the Obama/Biden/Harris criminals than most Gazans do over Hamas, but I guess under the "old testament" collective theory of guilt, we all deserve--every man, woman, child, and chicken--a good nuking for the crimes of others.

Some populations and cultures are more worthy of humane treatment than others. The Palestinians aren't worthy, as far as I can tell. They are the Israelis of Superman's Bizarro world, -- a tiny global minority population that unlike the Jews, who punch above their weight in most human endeavors, apparently cannot -- or doesn't want to --succeed at much of anything, and whose incompetence, dysfunction and mendacity is contagious (Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt). They simply seem to live for the conflict. It's practically genetic at this point. F 'em. No one would miss them.

The greatest tragedy in US foreign relations history was the shitty, dismissive way we treated the USSR/Russia after 1991. We were not gracious sportsmen in that game. The Bush, Clinton, and Obama administrations should have been lauding the Russian people for their courage in ushering in a more democratic, Western-ish system and reminding both sides that together we defeated Nazism and Japanese Imperialism just a few decades previously. Instead, we humiliated Russia by opposing their cultural/political allies in Serbia in favor of some Albanian Muslims.

And humiliated and shamed ourselves in the process, truth be told. Russia should be our friend. The only reason it isn't is because for decades we've had leadership that is generally just as as unimaginative and heartless as any Soviet Aparatchik or Nomentaklura member.

Again, you see the US/Russian situation very clearly. But you demonize Palestinians in much the same way as previous outgroups were smeared--Huns (bayoneting babies in WWI), Krauts, Nips, Gooks, Ragheads, even the humorous "cheese-eating surrender monkeys." And those are just from the U.S. looking out--same thing happens, I imagine, in every conflict and language. Doesn't mean everyone was innocent, of course, but when you nuke, carpet bomb, or firebomb non-military targets you can't really claim to be more civilized than the other guy.

When the Krauts and Nips/Japs were beaten, they had enough sense to realize it --and look what happened. Same for most cultures/nations (UK, France, US, etc): they accept the L and take a moment to think "Hmmm...maybe there's a better way to go about this nation/ideology thing". Palestinians and Muzz in general? Not so much -- and that's why I don't feel that they deserve equal consideration. There's no contrition or reflection other than "The Jews and their Zionist puppets are responsible". They're the incels of the world stage. Civilizational codes like The Geneva Convention are for rational nation states, not gang/clan-driven shitholes like Somalia, Yemen, Gaza, etc.

Nor does our status as a "civilized" country hinge upon a "proportionate" or "nuanced" military response to terrorist cultures. McDonald's, General Electric, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taylor Swift, Coca-Cola, Levi Strauss, and Ford Motors make a more powerful statement in that regard than any nuke we could drop on any bad actor.

Homan and Miller are proven tough guys but Neom along with Hegseth are the only proven killers. Granted Noem had to reload but she can practice all she wants at the ICE agents’ shooting range at DHS HQ. But she did put an end to that rabid homicidal vicious pup and saved untold number of cute little baby chicks who are now producing delicious eggs. Maybe the egg you eat tomorrow will be from an offspring of a chick Noem saved. Miller will keep watch over her. Gaetz is perfect for AG. The DOJ, dirtiest place in DC. He’ll be great. The only one I have some reservation about is Rubio.

Kristi Noem....no. But Trump does know how eo fire so that may be the answer....Afgan refugee lover? Why ? Haven't hundreds of thousands come here and they need translators? I thought we only let in those that were TRANSLATORS and "helped" us. It is ok, I am used to being lied to by the government.....LOL
