I hope Ann read her friend Heather MacDonald's piece in Friday's Wall Street Journal about the LA riots. It's the most straightforward article I've read on the continuing violence in Los Angeles. Things will definitely come to a head between the federal government and the state of California.
Thank you Ann for 5 Stories: Interesting piece about the National Guard and Governors. It makes sense to me though. Also the “indication” part of medical care is spot on. It, like a lot of things, can get taken out of context (ie steroids used for sports benefit which does happen) and there are a lot of whack a doodle parents out there—but not all of them—and some do put their kids lives at risk for their own gain.
Yes Ann I too wondered why these leftists think no President can do what Trump did. I have been around for a fairly long time and I wanted to say in comments, but did not, that I was born and raised in the South and I certainly know that a President can and will employ the military (in some form or fashion) against American "citizens"....I did not mention it because it brings out the loonies that will call you a "confederate" and a loser. My family on both sides DOES go back over 300 years before we were the United States but yes they were in the Confederacy. But we did not live at Tara (Jonesboro/Atlanta) or Savannah or Charleston or Richmond......and most people in the South NOW moved here after the fact....
