I know Ann, my brother bought a brand new house next to the beach on the Jersey shore six years ago, all the while fretting about global warming and voting for leftists. The Russians or Chinese Communists are putting something in the water to make half the country schizophrenic I think.

Not many people know or are willing to admit that a Republican President was the first climate fanatic, having started the EPA. As the imposter Al Gore is famous for saying, “That’s an inconvenient fact.”

The carbon dioxide "problem": CO2 is 0.04% of the atmosphere. Not 4%, not 0.4%, but 0.04%. Yet this trace gas is needed for photosynthesis, so without it there'd be no plants and thus almost no other life on earth. Moreover, the plants that need CO2 to grow also create the oxygen we need. When the planet was formed, it's thought the atmosphere contained no significant oxygen.

Perhaps NYT could do better with these issues if their science writers had degrees in something other than English Lit and journalism.

The NYT can always be relied on to misrepresent...oftentimes in grand, ludicrous fashion...the realities of the world, particularly when it comes to anything even vaguely political or dear to the Left's totalitarian goals. A perpetual 'climate crisis' with endlessly-shifting parameters, goalposts and definitions is a perfect cudgel to destroy the American economy with while simultaneously allowing the smug Useful Idiots at the Times and elsewhere to feel exceptionally good about themselves as they convince themselves...and a dwindling number of breathtakingly low I.Q. readers...that they have the exclusive, surefire answers to all of the problems of the world, most of which were created by Leftist policy to begin with... but we don't need to talk about that.

Thank You Ann for reading the Times so that we don't have to...and of course for bringing some of their more insane pronouncements, and your delightful commentary, to the attention of thoughtful people who avoid it like most people try to avoid cancer. Your ability to regularly immerse yourself in the turgid cauldron of lunacy known as The New York Times and emerge unscathed day after day, year after year speaks volumes to your formidable inner strengths as a well-grounded person. In a rational world, you would have been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom decades ago for your service to our Nation. Bravo, and thanks again.

If you take all the CO2 emitted into the atmosphere in one year from all sources man-made and natural and express that amount as equalling one mile, mankind's contribution to that one mile is one half of one inch.

Look it up, search 'Jude Wanniski, hot air at the new York times'

He should have mentioned the odious Maurice Strong, a real live Ellsworth Toohey scumbag POS, who got the ball rolling in Rio in 92. Maurice was a Frog Canadian socialist, much like what we have now in Castro.

I don't know why no one has ever considered a 'Miracles Bill' before. I mean, it's such an obvious solution to everything.

I don't get it, MOYIHAN warned us! MOYIHAN warned us almost 60 years ago, and you think that's funny?

. . . Oh, because of the 60 years ago thing. Yeah, now I get it. Yeah, that's pretty funny.
