I know Ann, my brother bought a brand new house next to the beach on the Jersey shore six years ago, all the while fretting about global warming and voting for leftists. The Russians or Chinese Communists are putting something in the water to make half the country schizophrenic I think.

Leftists are fully aware that they and their fellow-travelers are chronic liars; lying and self-delusion is fully accepted among them as the mechanism needed to realize their political goals. This is how they are able to justify their celebrity friends flying to climate symposiums in private jets, vacationing in private yachts the size of ocean liners and how they are able to remain silent over the monumental hypocrisy of China not even being brought up when climate issues are discussed. Lying is essential to their ideology and therefor the fabric of their lives.

That's what makes it so easy for wealthy leftists to buy oceanfront property one day and the next day lecture their friends, with a straight face, about the dangers of rising sea levels. They all share an understanding that what's important is not the glaring contradictions but in the ultimate goal of destroying the American economy and Capitalism at all costs.

For an amusing view of their hypocrisy, take a look at @CelebJets on Twitter, where some of their movements are tracked.

Yup but a continuous iV drip of fluoride into the oceans might take care of the oceanic schizophrenic. This could be true. I drink with some really smart people.

The rise in the oceans is due to the volumizing of the water molecules. Same water molecules only fatter. I drink with some really smart people.

The carbon dioxide "problem": CO2 is 0.04% of the atmosphere. Not 4%, not 0.4%, but 0.04%. Yet this trace gas is needed for photosynthesis, so without it there'd be no plants and thus almost no other life on earth. Moreover, the plants that need CO2 to grow also create the oxygen we need. When the planet was formed, it's thought the atmosphere contained no significant oxygen.

Perhaps NYT could do better with these issues if their science writers had degrees in something other than English Lit and journalism.

The NYT can always be relied on to misrepresent...oftentimes in grand, ludicrous fashion...the realities of the world, particularly when it comes to anything even vaguely political or dear to the Left's totalitarian goals. A perpetual 'climate crisis' with endlessly-shifting parameters, goalposts and definitions is a perfect cudgel to destroy the American economy with while simultaneously allowing the smug Useful Idiots at the Times and elsewhere to feel exceptionally good about themselves as they convince themselves...and a dwindling number of breathtakingly low I.Q. readers...that they have the exclusive, surefire answers to all of the problems of the world, most of which were created by Leftist policy to begin with... but we don't need to talk about that.

Thank You Ann for reading the Times so that we don't have to...and of course for bringing some of their more insane pronouncements, and your delightful commentary, to the attention of thoughtful people who avoid it like most people try to avoid cancer. Your ability to regularly immerse yourself in the turgid cauldron of lunacy known as The New York Times and emerge unscathed day after day, year after year speaks volumes to your formidable inner strengths as a well-grounded person. In a rational world, you would have been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom decades ago for your service to our Nation. Bravo, and thanks again.

If you take all the CO2 emitted into the atmosphere in one year from all sources man-made and natural and express that amount as equalling one mile, mankind's contribution to that one mile is one half of one inch.

Look it up, search 'Jude Wanniski, hot air at the new York times'

He should have mentioned the odious Maurice Strong, a real live Ellsworth Toohey scumbag POS, who got the ball rolling in Rio in 92. Maurice was a Frog Canadian socialist, much like what we have now in Castro.

I don't know why no one has ever considered a 'Miracles Bill' before. I mean, it's such an obvious solution to everything.

I don't get it, MOYIHAN warned us! MOYIHAN warned us almost 60 years ago, and you think that's funny?

. . . Oh, because of the 60 years ago thing. Yeah, now I get it. Yeah, that's pretty funny.

The GOP love the big, centralized state so much as the Dems do. It's just that the GOP think their love is somehow more patriotic.
