What’s worse a partisan journalist or the fact they think Harris can’t handle real questions. I expect someone to pull a fire alarm.

It seems likely that Muir also failed to mention Brown's pattern of activity that led up to his shooting, notably the strong-arm robbery captured on tape and then his attacking the officer and attempting to get his gun. Officer Darren Wilson's actions saved his own life that day and undoubtedly the lives of other Americans, as we've seen the results of Brown's trajectory on the streets too many times before. Thank you, Officer Wilson, for a job well done!

So true. Officer Wilson had absolutely no choice but to shoot Brown--who was bigger than Wilson and charging at him. I imagine Wilson has had to move away from Ferguson, MO, change his name and occupation. I hope he has been able to establish a new life for himself and his family.

Why do we always have to suffers with the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party asking the questions?

Because the NYT has enough character to admit it has a 3 point bias in their polling results. The admission is integrity, or something like that. That’s the best I can figure.

Most journalists, within two standard deviations from the mean of the curve (just to be fair), are so stupid and uninformed that, if shown a screwdriver, they think it is either a sex toy or something used to smoke weed.

Add to this an "education" heavy on memorizing dogma and devoid of critical thought (a white elitist concept) and you have a Pavlovian dog lacking the cuteness and acute sense of smell.

Ann's damning example is from 2015. In the years since, Muir has only gotten worse. He and his lead reporters, Mary Bruce, Jonathan Karl (author of THREE Trump-hating books), and Rachel Scott (she of the bombastic questioning of Trump at the recent NABJ meeting) spew leftist drivel at a breakneck pace. Muir acts so earnest and pompous, but his intentions are clear to anyone paying close attention. Thank you Ann, I've long waited for someone to call him out.

I blame ABC News; a fish stinks from the head. Even my local channel WABC contorts the news to be anti Trump.

Given that Muir is a supposed journalist with access to all the facts I have to choose option 1, which also makes him a dishonest man willing to destroy a man’s reputation, as well as a bad moderator

Tragic . Vapid students of Goebbels and Stalin/Gramci who specialize in altering truth by altering language.

The good news is that most of Goebbels' students ended up swinging from a noose and most of Stalin's students learned the function of a screwdriver performing hard labor while vacationing at the Gulag Archipelago...if they weren't lucky enough to have been shot first.

Dan it appears they had spiritual children reborn here on ABC etc

Only attending journalism classes at any universities, as I did, you can understand what is going on in American media. All teachers of journalism are LOSERS in their own profession who went to teach because could not make it, could not earn living in professional field. They do not blame themselves. They blame capitalism, blame America, dreaming about socialism where they will be protected. Half of their teaching is anti-American pro-communist preaching. The theme that America is racist guilty of slavery - one of the main accusations. All black criminals are innocent, police is guilty. Rich people are guilty, even penniless immigrants come to US and in 2 decades become millionaires and in one lifetime billionaires.. Look at Sergey Brin (Google) and Elon Musk.

In his defense, he *is* a journalismist, and can't be expected to be anything but a partisan Leftist hack. This debate is going to be very interesting, and I expect ABC to announce before dinner time that Kamala has won the debate that will start in 2 hours!

Yep. Agree. Thank you Ann for pre-debate stack up. Lack of investigative journalistic skills. High on the dramatic lie(s) to set the tone. Unprofessional, too. Should be interesting tonite.

But wait, there's more. From Wikipedia: "As a child [Muir] watched ABC News' flagship program each night with his family and credits longtime anchor Peter Jennings as his biggest journalistic influence. . . . While in college he was inspired by a professor who told him he had 'the cut of a TV newsman.'" (Like the William Hurt character in Broadcast News.) Moreover, "He was listed as one of People's Sexiest Men Alive in 2014."

And that speaks for itself.

I’ve been unsure about the idea of republicans simply refusing to debate in front of partisan hack moderators. I can convince myself why they should and then convince myself they shouldn’t. Any thoughts ?

I’m tending toward don’t do it

Channeling my inner paranoia, I wonder if there was coordination between Harris and the moderators. Just seems odd that Harris starts debate off by saying you will Trump lie, then bing Linsey Davis says Trump wrong on issue of late term abortions
