The premise of your IQ "test" is that you know what Trump's base is seeking. I've supported Trump since 2016. I do not agree with several of the opinions of his more "liked" commentators, who appear to be your definition of his "base". Tucker Carlson, for example, is a great interviewer, but he is driven by emotions. Worse he hasn't bothered to read much history. But then again when I was his age I hadn't read enough either. For the record I am a supporter of Trump since 2016, as FEC records will a test. Having said that I do not agree with Trump 100%, but in a binary world, you have to make a choice, or you are just a spectator.
Regarding the Iran issue, you do not have to look very hard to see that Iran is ruled by religious fanatics who regard the obliteration of Israel as a duty. Ditto, by the way, their views on the fate our own country. They will be empowered to achieve these goals with the acquisition of a nuclear weapon. The fact that the CIA and Tulsi think this unlikely is of no significance to me. The CIA is a disgrace, as is the USAID. They are just an arm of the global elite that seeks to disenfranchise the electorate in those few functional democracies that still bother to elect their leaders. It is regrettable that the CIA and many other federal agencies [have] fallen so far. Employing the tools of mass deception against our own country, such as during the presidential election of 2020 or the mandated vaccines in 2021, is utterly unforgivable. The upper three levels of the CIA should be hand cuffed and marched out of the building to face the horror of the DoJ procedures employed against Senator Ted Stevens and many others.
He wants his tissue thin analysis to be confirmed by his guests. That is why on tough issues he does not invite or cannot get to accept an invitation, those who will upset his paper thin, effeminate emotional outlook. By the way do you notice the way he is always folding his arms especially when he wants a confirming answer to a leading question. That usually is a dead giveaway.
You make some good points about Tucker. However, it could be said that maybe it's time for a different style of interviewing; let's quit the pretense of objectivity, where the interviewer is sincerely trying to get the guest to state his views and then moves on to the next question/issue.
Instead, maybe it is time that interviewers became more like debaters. If a guest says something that the interviewer considers to be a pile of BS, why not take him on, Tucker-style? What is wrong with emotional debating? Is there no room for this at all in a supposedly free-speech country? Jes' askin.
No more "I'm just asking questions; I won't challenge you."
What part of death to America do you people not understand is it the death part is it the to America part? Ok maybe they’re a bunch of blowhards who say things they don’t mean. Unfortunately their actions back up what they say. They are developing missiles that have ranges far beyond what’s necessary to reach Israel. They have test firing missiles from the decks of ships. Why would they need to do that to attack Israel? They call Israel little Satan if what they are doing in Israel is any indication what would they do to the great Satan ? Ok so what if they get a few nukes how does that measure up to the nuclear arsenal we have? Look up emp it doesn’t take dozens of nukes with pinpoint accuracy to destroy America. One middle size nuke fired off the deck of a rust bucket freighter & exploded at altitude over the middle of the country stick a fork in us we’re all done . Wouldn’t Iran face massive retaliation yes if we could figure out who did it. If the freighter or oil tanker was instantly destroyed & sunk in a busy sea lane we would have a hard time figuring that out. We have lots of enemies besides Iran & maybe religious fanatics out of the dark ages don’t care even if we did . Destroying the great Satan may be worth it.
Those who ignore the reality of Iran seem to have no comprehension that Iran and its proxies have been bombarding Israel with tens of thousands of missiles for many years. When the Nazi's sent a few thousand V1s against Britain from launch points along the North Sea coast in 1944 and 1945, it was regarded as a very serious threat. Israel faces similar numbers of missiles routinely, and in a much-compressed time frame (hundreds in an hour). The missiles are all intended to inflict huge numbers of casualties in the civilian population, as were the V1 and V2 attacks. I wonder if the failure of Iran to achieve its goals of mass civilian casualties is another issue that that bothers the critics of Israel's attempt to defend itself?
Yeah well they have the Iron Dome now and it's blocking 93% of what's lobbed at them. I question even that. They have to let a few bombs make it in so that some innocents can be filmed to stir the pot. Sad and repetitive story.
So, you don't want to say it either? We are Israel's lackeys. We do whatever the want us to do. Let the Israeli's attack Iran. It's just not our fight.
They chant "Death to America" because of our involvement with Israel. We stuck a bunch of Jews to live in the middle of their people. How did anyone think that would end well?
The British administered Palestine area following WW1. The census of 1922 broke out the population by religion: Muslim 590.890; Jewish 83,794; Christian 73,024; Druse (Muslim origin but believe in reincarnation) 7,028. The current population of Muslim citizens within the state of Israel is about 2,000,000 and there are about 200,000 Christians.
During WW2 the Muslim population generally supported the Nazi's. The mufti of Jerusalem was an ally of Hitler's. And massacres of Jewish populations were a real problem. When the British were able to defend themselves against Iraq's Muslims in 1941, the disappointed Arabs slaughtered the Jewish minority in Baghdad. This was such an embarrassment to the British that the heroic defense waged by the small British force was downplayed and largely ignored.
In 1948 the state of Israel was created as Britain withdrew. The surrounding Muslim countries and many Muslims within Israel conducted a war of extermination, seeking to obliterate Israel. Israel, with literally no outside support by the major powers, prevailed. Not surprisingly, Israel was reluctant to let those who sought their deaths back into the country. Following the creation of Israel many Jewish refugees were forced to flee the recently created Muslim countries and were welcomed in Israel, as were the survivors of the Nazi campaign of extermination in occupied Europe.
In stark contrast to Israel, the surrounding Muslim countries were not welcoming to those Palestinians who fought beside them to obliterate Israel.
We certainly did not stick a bunch of Jews into Israel. The U. S. had very strained relations with Israel until 1967, when Israel demonstrated that it could defend itself against a very capable Egyptian army and air force. Under Nassar, for example, Egyptian armed forces conducted poison gas attacks against Aden using state of the art Soviet bombers in the mid 1950s.
Hitler had a lot of allies. Do you know who was financing the Nazi's? Why do you think the Jews haven't endeared themselves to the people of other populations?
Churchill and the British supported zionism because most were also Bolsheviks. They wanted them to be involved in zionism rather than creating problems in the UK.
Churchill was voted out of office in July of 1945. He returned as Prime Minister in 1951. British policy in Israel was determined by British Labor. If your assertion that Britain supported Bolsheviks in Israel [is true], it must be attributed to Labor. This makes sense in a way, but it certainly wouldn't solve any of Britain's post war problems. Labor could do that without any need to enlist zionist communists.
Forget what they do to Israel or us look what they do to each other. Look at what happened in Iraq soon as we left they turned on each other same in Syria. We occupied Iraq but we never occupied Syria . This is just what these people are & what they do . Throwing Israel under the bus will only eliminate the one obstacle left to attacking us.
I agree. If for some reason Israel was obliterated by a nuclear weapon, what would the region look like in five years? My guess is that it would have a landscape that consisted large, glassed, radioactive craters.
There are no weapons of mass destruction in Iran. I can't imagine why they would call Israel & the US such terrible names. All the US wants to do is make them go gay, go trans, have women's lib. etc. Oh yeah and change their regime. If that's what their people want, let THEM go for it.
I agree there are disagreements regarding our level of involvement. Duh. We are more likely to be independent thinkers. This gives us the edge over the mind-numbing follow-the-lib-narrative dems. Will this hurt us? No way. At the end of the day, we're not getting into another long costly war. And unlike dems, if Trump does act, it will not be about proportional response. It will be a quick win -- which all American love. This division outrage is much about nothing. Just a lib wet dream.
Maybe I understand it more than you do. Iran is not a colonial power like Japan was. It is 3rd-world. And I would rather help avoid a nuclear Iran that says Death to America than stick my head in the sand. IMHO you are operating out of fear 🤷♂️
Gotta say, regime change in Iran is as close as it might ever be, if the people would revolt. Destroy more IRGC to give them the chance. It's a tough one but potentially a seismic paradigm shift in the region. Historic. Will it stop Muslim violence, no, but it would be a major blow to a death cult regime that is the major underwriter of death and destruction in the Middle East. If allowed to remain, it will never stop, just slow down for while as per usual. I say we must end the regime.
I agree, in part. I think our "war" objective should be eliminating Iran's nuke potential for decades to come..not regime change. That gices us an achievable war objective. However, at the same time we should do all we can to appose the current regime and help Iran return to a secular government-- whether that means a western style democracy or the Shah. But no need to connect this support for the people of Iran to the war.
Iran is our enemy. They have attacked our troops many times, through their proxies, Hezbollah, Houthis, etc. We cannot risk what might happen if they have nuclear bombs. Our open borders for the previous four years mean that there are Iranian assets in our country right now. Imagine if they could sneak in a nuclear device...this is not a chance we can take. Iran's nuclear capability must be destroyed by whatever means necessary.
Do we want to continue the forever wars? NO. Does Iran pose an eminent threat to the U.S.A. NO. Is Ben Jamin pulling us into a conflict again like Iraq. YES. 'Saddam has WMDs and if we don't act now.....' If we can't defeat the deep state warpigs now with Trump in office, we may never have another opportunity. Secure the Panama Canal, Greenland for future Arctic warfare, and dominate our hemisphere. Build the damn wall already and the Golden Dome ASAP. The father of our country warned us not to intervene in foreign conflicts. Best to heed Dad's advice.
Does Iran pose a threat? You bet ya. When people with near-nukes say Death to America, listen. This is not the Iraq WMD story. We have the IAEC on the ground. All you have is folksy advice cause you are ignorant of the details of this dangerous situation. As to our own Iron Done--- sure, but that is too many years away. Want to follow dad's advice? When someone says they want you dead, believe them and act prudently once they get close to being able to hurt you.
David I will admit I maybe wrong. But history and my gut tell me we are being pulled into a fight that won't just end with taking out some centrifuges. Iran is China's gas station and how they react is an unknown. Three transport planes (supposedly) from China flew into Iran off the radar. To think Ukraine took out Russian planes deep in Russia without our help is naive. Israel can do this on their own and we can help but to be in direct conflict is not in our interest. I support Israel but this attack was over the top and reckless. It's Trump's call now. I wish good things for you and your family David. Peace Out.
Thanks for the thoughtful response W1 Patriot. Of course, none of us can predict the future but we share a desire to do what is best for America and the world. I respectfully disagree with you but we'll both see how this turns out. 🙏🙏🙏
Israel can't exist without the US. They are not our friends. They USE us. If the US bailed on Israel there would be hell to pay. It's a relationship of FEAR because "they" are so deeply woven in our government & financial fabric.
Well Israel may use us but we also use them. If you are looking for people who are supposed allies but seem on a suicide path just look to Western Europe and especially northern Europe. Suicide by demographics and unwillingness to take a realistic set of actions to make their countries invulnerable. We are in some ways further down that demographic path. Russia is also in demographic dead end mode with a large and burgeoning muz pop in addition to having a medieval Ivanoff view of economics and society. Whites not all but a lot, need to wake up.
I respectfully think you have no idea what you are talking about. Trump is strong. The numbers do not support you. If you think it is the end of MAGA, i.e. Trump, then you must be guided by fantasy or some lib wet dream or something.
There are 8.2 billon people in the world and only about 350 million in the US, so isolationism will eventually lead to the overwhelming majority or a large portion of it ganging up and going to war with the 350 million minority over one of many possible issues and destroying it. So neither alternative is correct... So a high enough IQ will tell you that a middle path is needed and even better some natural defences and mobile defence forces, such as having natural boundaries (being an island) like Great Britain enjoyed. Hence Britain built the world's largest empire (twice) while the European mainland was held back by frequent wars. Worked until their sea barrier became less of a barrier...
In case you been under general anesthesia for the last couple of days you are aware that we fulfilled John Maccain’s wet dream fantasy bomb bomb Iran . After breaking our arms patting ourselves on the back about how wildly successful the whole thing was we quickly reassured the enemy no worries it’s not about regime change. Imagine reassuring Hitler & Tojo after Pearl Harbor no worries we’re not after regime change. These are republicans we’re supposed to be the tough guys. I’m taking bets with my friends about who the first democrat to make the pilgrimage to Tehran will be . The ayatollah has already threatened to turn NYC into a living hell . How can we be sure they don’t already have nukes ? Remember the 72 virgins sounds pretty cool maybe I should convert.
I wanna go on the record as saying Israel doesn’t need us to destroy the Iranian nuke lab. They can land, unload ordinance, and blow the whole mountain to Allah.
They DO need us to occupy Tehran. We could drop 50,000 troops in a matter of weeks, if we had to do it.
The Trump/Bush illustration is great. Reminds me of part of what I wrote to the White House yesterday: "Remember when President Trump smashed Lindsey Graham, Jeb Bush, and the other pathetic losers in that first debate back in 2015? To now see him following the foreign policy of John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and Bibi Netanyahu is beyond disheartening."
I’m am amazed at the number of Svengali and Nostradomas’ who opine here and on the idiot tube. Trump is the President at this time and place. He has taken some measures on everything that he has promised but sometimes reality takes over and course changes, for reasonable people ,must be made. Yes, not everything will be perfect but can’t anyone look over the last 50 years and think that they were a time of better government or foreign policy? Those years led us here and now many expect that those 40 years of error will be corrected in 4 months. Get a grip, read some history and see the bigger picture. We may be approaching a seminal moment in Middle Eastern history. The Muslim world outside of Iran certainly thinks so.
You cannot "speak softly and carry a big stick" without occasionally making use of the stick.
The goal is to minimize the uses of the stick, but the perfect must not be the enemy of the good.

Seriously?

OMG!
Damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t! I am so tired of all the EXPERTS who are NOT sitting
in the President’s hot seat, so self righteous and sure of their opinions. PLEASE, remember the senile
old man previously in charge of these decisions. Let’s give Donald Trump credit for his efforts thus far;
his bluster and embellishment has never bothered me.
It’s time to give the DEVIL living in an underground bunker in Iran his due…
God help us all.

Let Israel finish off the leadership, then let the Iranians figure out how to rebuild. No boots on the ground!
The can't. They need us. That's why Trump was installed in the first place.

That is what Netanyahu is pushing for.
