Yep, the old old stat of "13-52" (13% of the US population (blacks) commits 52% of all US violent crimes") is now closer to 11% does 60%, but even that isn't entirely true because it's really an even smaller subset of the black population, males, responsible for the highest percentage of those crimes, and within that subset it's mostly black males aged 15-35'ish.
So what are we really looking at? I don't know for sure, it's hard to get actual data, but something along the lines of 3-4% of the US population (black males 15-35'ish) commit roughly 50% of all the violent crime in the entire United States!
Of course, most of their victims are in the very same demo, so it's more easily ignored.
I got shut out from both Twitter and WaPo commentariat for saying this stuff. That and my abortion stats. NYT regularly refuses to print my comments like this. I'm close to getting shut out of the Dallas County Criminal Defense Lawyers' Ass'n [DCDLA] listserve for refusing to address a male member as "Ms.".
All of which is to say, God Bless Ann for calling a spade a dirty damned shovel.
Our corrupt Media doesn't report any news which don't fit their narrative. Thus, if the crime is committed by Democrat Party's plantation base, MSM will omit it.
I worked at a major metropolitan newspaper (when newspapers were making loads of money) when it was decided that the race of violent crime perps would no longer be mentioned. The reason given by the higher-ups was that race was (suddenly?) irrelevant. But we all knew the real reason.

One point- the left has apparently altered their mass shooting rule, loosely about 3 or more victims in a single incident, because it turns out the rule they made to go after guns doesn't help when they want to go after (target? Where's Sarah Palin?) whites. So the new rule is a mass shooting is a when a white person shoots three or more people with a weapon Democrats would like to ban for law abiding citizens (or legal immigrants! also known as "suckers" who care about following the law).
In a sane society, neither negro gangs nor rap would even exist; if El Salvador can swiftly tackle the mestizo cartels, the US ought to be able to follow suit!
I quote tweeted Michael Goodwin of the NY Post this morning regarding his opinion piece about Carl Beastie and Eric Adams and the spike in crime. They are almost always not white offenders and recidivists, especially those responsible for the subway assaults and murders. Like the NYT, I told Goodwin that his NYP no longer publishes physical descriptors of the criminals. Adam’s talks a good game, but accomplishes nothing and Beastie is standing his ground with no bail and no punishment. Gotta keep those stats down somehow if the skells are not white.

Ann, sorry I can't be in TX but just missed you by two weeks when I was in Denison TX and had to make a stop at Dwight Eisenhower's birthplace. From a humble beginning to a Great President is why I still believe the U.S.A. is Exceptional and worth fighting for. (ideas not physical :) Safe Travels !!
The transaction cost of ascertaining truth from an NYT article is exorbitant. It’s far less on X. The economics of truth discovery favors the reportage of the masses.

Excellent article Ann. Unfortunately only 9% of Blacks can be classified as "normal", the rest 91% votes for the Democrats.
