He had all the endorsements, a ton of money, and the energy and drive to visit all 99 Iowa counties.
He lost every single one of them. That’s why he dropped out and is not the nominee. He made a terrible showing in Iowa and had no hope of improving on it in later states. The end.
I now fully and enthusiastically support Donald Trump.
James, pls do research. DeSantis came from a low income family in Dunedin, Florida. His father installed cable boxes. At age 12 Ron's Little League team went to the Little League World Series. Ron was accepted at Yale, but he had to pay his way by sweeping floors, whatever odd job he could get. In his senior year, Ron was Captain of the Yale Baseball team. He graduated from Yale Magna Cum Laude. He later got his law degree Cum Laude from Harvard.
She wants to win, and Trump has a slight chance. If Trump is elected he will be a lame duck drinking Coke and eating cheeseburgers. He will not keep a single promise.
Thank you Ann for Hurricane Milton update from Governor DeSantis. From footage that has been “offered” by a/new outlets, time will tell. More importantly, clearly Governor DeSantis knows his local base and is willing to stand behind it-and all the happenings. The big picture is complicated, Mother Nature always beware —Has the last word. Lastly. Weather is an act of God. Kudos to DeSantis for defending his place and its people.
DeSantis was fantastic. That is exactly why I supported him (both for governor in a state I only visit and for President) and continue to support him. I am surprised the follow up wasn't "Do you think the Gods of the Air, Sky, and Earth are angry with us?"
I do support Trump and even better than the stats is dealing with Kamala- he didn't fall for the Obama-Christie trap her handlers were trying to set. She is irrelevant to needs of Floridians as VP and harmful as a future President. Plus, she is such a dimwit that clearly any amount of time speaking to her is time wasted in our short time here on Earth. Add in old Joe giving DeSantis kudos and it was the icing on the cake. One thing I do think the Trump people need to be less lazy about is making ads that do not just have Kamala saying she can't think of anything she would change but to list all the bad things and then have her repeat that she wouldn't change a thing. The undecideds need you to put two and two together like that. So many of the problems on our side is assuming people know and are as informed as you and I and that is just not so. So spell it out every time. It is annoying when Sean Hannity does it because people who watch him have heard it a thousand times, but he has the right idea when it comes to swing voters and undecideds.
Great question, Ann! The answer to that is: because the majority of Republican voters are idiot Trump cultists who think their Golden Calf can do no wrong—and that anyone who challenges him is a traitor to America.
Why can't DeSantis be our nominee? Why indeed? Good question... I've been asking that same question for....I don't know how long... He's clearly the better choice on all counts....
But no, the 'bots have to have their precious Narcissistic man-baby, no matter what, come hell or high water.... (My god...what a choice... A clueless, Narcissistic man-baby or a cackling moron... Some choice.... How in the world did we finally come to this? Is this really the best America can do?)
It just wasn't DeSantis's time and it appeared he was always trying too hard. But he is great at understanding the intricacies of policy or climate history where Trump's more big picture without the details. While DeSantis is a highly effective governor he doesn't have entertainment value like Trump and in a dumbocracy such as we have in America not being an entertainer can doom you.
If I remember correctly Jimmy Carter was a very hands on policy wonk while Reagan was just a “Big Picture” guy who knew where he wanted to get and picked the best people to get him there just like any successful CEO…we all know the rest of the story.
Then you clearly don't remember correctly at all. Because Reagan was very specific in explaining his intended policies and plans (economic & otherwise), clearly elucidating specifically how they would work, the effect they would have, and the results they would get. They all worked out precisely as he predicted they would. So if you remember differently, they either (a) you weren't listening or paying attention at the time or (b) you didn't understand in the first place.
What you also apparently don't remember correctly is that Reagan had prior experience in politics, as a two-term Governor of California no less, and knew very well how to get things done in the political realm, and was more than simply a "successful CEO."
My advice? Try "remembering" some specific facts, rather than simply parroting a lot of uninformed & inaccurate opinions (that you probably heard from someone else.)
Because Iowans didn't get out and vote for him...big mistake
I was an RDS supporter.

Well, he is not. So, please Ann, get over it and quit acting like scorned ex-girl friend.

Ann wants a sane nominee. She has recently referred to "idiot boy Trump," with good reason.

He will be a great President

Desantis is doing the job of a Chief Executive while the weather loons make signs & troll people.
Yes Ann. DeSantis is an Israel firster , so supporting him would not endanger your opulent Manhattan lifestyle.

A reasonable man during an hysterical time.
Revolutionary.
