Apparently the voters of Chicago and Philadelphia (among other places) don’t care very much either.
But if there is one line that conservative politicians, pundits and media personalities will not cross, it is blaming black people themselves as a group for the obscene levels of violence in their communities, violence coming from their people.
Instead we hear LBJ, the Great Society, fatherlessness, welfare, the war on drugs, “a culture of dependency,” the Democrats, white progressives, the teachers’ union, the police, “the bigotry of low expectations,” lack of trees, “environmental racism, “institutional racism,” etc., etc., etc. — they are at fault. They caused this.

We've had well over THIRTY YEARS of data definitively pointing to the breakdown of black families as being the primary reason why kids join gangs...the gang structure replaces their nonexistent family structure.
Yet during all that time we've seen a steady growth of out-of-wedlock births and single motherhood among black people. Only the very rare brave souls such as yourself will dare to point out the truth of the causes, while 'black leaders' and spineless white liberals will bleat about 'lack of opportunities' and 'white racism'. And through all this time, black girl children continue to have children of their own with nary a peep being heard about "maybe wait with sex until you're in a solid marriage".
This whole subject of the collapse of black families remains off limits as a point of discussion, with any well-meaning black or white person risking their career or worse if they dare to state the obvious truths.
And so the rivers of blood continue to flow with most people terrified of even mentioning the obvious solutions.

America doesn't have a gun problem. It has a sick culture and a violent black population. But the media likes to focus on the tiny number of mass shootings by people who obtained their guns legally. Those shootings go back to our sick culture, loneliness and overuse of SSRIs and they comprise no more than half of one percent of all gun deaths but probably less.
BTW, I thought Juneteenth and tearing down Confederate and Columbus monuments was going to turn black people into law abiding, flag waving conservatives and Republican voters? Maybe Trump's Platinum Plan will finally do the trick.

That once vibrant city is now a desolate crime-ridden hellscape that has an average income and educational level of an African village. In the 1980s I escaped to the pristine Pacific Northwest and settled in beautiful Portland, Oregon, the whitest city in America. When people complained the city was "too white" I told them to watch what they wished for. Their wishes were granted and now that paradise is disfigured beyond recognition by crime, drugs, homelessness, and poverty. I recently fled to a safe and clean small town in Red America where some people again complain the town is too white. How many times will the most stupid people be allowed to set the agenda and ruin the lives of those who just want to lived in peace and freedom? Must the whole mad charade be repeated until there is no place left to go? When will the stories of the real victims be told?
In the late '70s and '80s, every night on the Chicago local news was "Two killed on the South side"
"Two killed on the West side" over and over so many times I became numb to it. When the war on drugs in the 1990s took down the gang leaders the violence went from areas to every street corner and now we hear "Twenty killed on the South side". Moving to Wisconsin 25 years ago I was able to leave the insanity behind but last year two Chicago gang members assassinated a kid being picked up by his Mom after just being released from Dane County jail in downtown Madison at 5 pm. They used modified AUTOMATIC 9mm pistols with long mags. They were caught a mile away and one of the gang bangers called his girlfriend (not his Mom or Dad) and told her to "go live your life, I'm finished".
As the U.S. manufacturers left our shores it pulled the ladder away for poor kids to climb out of poverty and now we are paying the true price for our cheap stuff. Mega-Media ignores the black-on-black violence but no one is watching it anyway. Ann, I wish you would show a little compassion for these kids and not just use them as a tool to show media bias.

In Madison, an aunt drove her 15 yr old niece to a fight where she proceeded to stick a knife into a 13-year-old boy and came within 2mm of killing him. I'm not sure how to break the cycle but it just seems that kids have a bigger hurdle to escape.
