Just as Hollywood endlessly recycles profitable ideas and has ceased giving us anything really new in quite a long time, so also liberals find a 'take' on a news story...real or imagined...that polls/focus-groups well or has reliably delivered a high number of clicks online and they'll endlessly recycle that for as long as they possibly can. It's a reflection of a lot of things...low-IQ 'journalists' who are good at copy/paste and not much else, an insatiable 24/7 news cycle, a generalized lack of creativity among the current crop of 'journalists' who need their safe spaces, are risk-averse and were never taught critical thinking skills...the list goes on.
When you have a legacy Press that's entirely ideologically-driven and demands a specific slanted narrative on every single story, that's going to severely limit the angles a story can be viewed in. It's so much easier to just copy/paste, make VERY slight alterations so it's not instantly obvious and call it good.
