I followed you for a long time and you are one of the only people that I Will pay a yearly subscription to. And I almost always agree with everything you say except I will never get back aboard the Trump train. I was a little disappointed with that move. But story number five is such a big load of crap. I mean I can't believe you put it on there. Now I know that Republicans must have a way of tweaking the inflation numbers just like Democrats do during their terms with the unemployment numbers. So it doesn't surprise me that these articles are out there.
I mean one. I work at a major big box chain resale store with over 2,000 stores. I am a manager of that store and since the times of the tariffs I've seen some products fall off and be replaced with other products. I've seen some products stay the same and I've seen some products fall off and never come back. But one thing I haven't seen is any products remain in the same price or going down and I don't mean by a little bit they're going up by a lot.
But even more importantly, I can just tell in my monthly grocery bill. I mean, I'm a single guy that works out eats healthy and I eat pretty much the same things week after week. Every now and then I'll switch up a little thing here or I'll switch up a little there but essentially I buy the same amount of stuff and it cost the same price. Before covid I used to pay about $65 a week. Then throughout covid it went up to about $85 a week and by the end of biden's term it was about $110 a week. The last time that I went to the store it was $130 so no not only since right before covid has my grocery bill doubled but it hasn't stopped growing at all since Trump got into office. Gas has been about the same or went down a little bit but groceries and everyday things that we buy and use and they have not stopped rising and cost at all. So I'm a little disappointed with that fifth story.
But I so do appreciate your work and I still do love you so much. No matter what train you ride on or no matter what you do, you always have the greatest articles and the greatest guests. So keep up the great work Ann.
