It is clear that the pot nowadays is not the same as what the hippies were using. I am curious if these recent mass shootings (i.e Uvalde, etc.) are not the result of using pot? We will never know because the problem is the gun and not the person pulling the trigger.

Thanks for highlighting this important topic. I felt my state (Washington) was utterly mad for legalizing marijuana recently. I knew a kid in college who smoked pot like a chimney and he lost all motivation, and basically became a vegetable. So I've seen first hand what it can do and have taught my kids diligently to avoid it at all cost, which they have. Scary to think Obama smoked pot like a chimney in college, this in my mind should have disqualified him from the office, but the country has been lied to over and over that's it's harmless, and everyone does it. And the media is complicit (probably at the direction of their CCP masters), notice NYT Quietly Removed Reference To Uvalde Shooter Complaining Grandma Wouldn’t Allow Him To Smoke Weed. And of course the so called fact checkers are going after anyone who dares mention this connection including Laura Ingraham. Those fact checkers are probably writing these things while sitting in their momma's basement smoking weed... in their pajamas...

I said something very close to this in the sixties, needless to say we have learned nothing since! Whatever the dose it is a drug why do you think they call it dope! You have to be an idiot to use drugs.

I remember when Ann first quoted Alex Berenson regarding pot. Of course, after writing a book on pot he became aware of all the establishment lies about Covid and the Covid "vaccines," and wrote about those. Coincidentally, some of what commenters have said in this thread (e.g., "There are no ingredient labels" with pot) also apply to Covid injections. Of course, while I agree that marijuana is harmful, it's the real world, not the lack of FDA approval, that concerns me--FDA approval is now widely recognized to be bought and paid for--and worse than worthless.

From the article: "...she’s seeing the same thing all over again: the specious claims of medical benefits, the denial of adverse effects. “From Big Tobacco to Big Pharma to Big Marijuana—it’s the same people, and the same pattern.”

Add "Big Trans" to that list. Children are being told that it's perfectly normal for them to need to 'transition' to another sex and oh it's perfectly safe and reversible. Here, we've got all of these drugs for you that will help you along, but you don't need to know that some of them are used to castrate rapists in prison. It's something that we MUST not only allow but ENCOURAGE because the poor darlings will commit suicide otherwise. And while we're at it, let's cut and paste body parts that will turn you into a literal Frankenstein monster-child and will very likely set you up for profound mental problems and a high likelihood of suicide later in life. Oh, and if you dare to question it AT ALL you will be labeled a TRANSPHOBE! and your career and life will hang in the balance, so you better just shut up and let us do whatever we want to your...or, rather OUR child...without informing you. At all.

Ann, would you tend to agree, in general terms, with my thinking that Western Civilization is facing a "war against our children" with Big Pharma and their eager accomplices on the Left as the primary aggressors?

Would you also agree that what has made this war acceptable to so many people has been the conditioning inflicted on us all to further the devaluation of human life, most particularly the lives of children due to decades of legalized industrial-scale murder of the unborn and infanticide?

Children's minds and bodies are under assault from nearly every direction, and I have grave fears for the future. If you're a hostile foreign Government and your goal is to destroy America and the West without placing your own population at risk, would there be a better way to accomplish this than what we're seeing?

THANK YOU, Ann, for alerting us all to this excellent article as well as providing the essential commentary that is your hallmark. EVERYONE needs to read both.

I mean look and try to listen to this Fetterman guy running for office in Pennsylvania.

Talk about a poster child for why being a pot head isn't for everyone 🙄 😒

My mom discontinued prescribed pills and drops for chronic pain. The stuff was out-of-pocket btw. She traveled some distance to a nondescript unmarked building and had to be buzzed in with an appointment. It didn’t work and the strength was increased and then it made her feel like crap. She discontinued on her own. The physician is now sending her to a neurologist after prescribing something she got in the drug store. She said she felt relief in a couple of days. I expressed surprised, but she insisted it worked. I believe it may have been an anxiety related drug. I also told her to be checked for Covid vax injury because she has another octogenarian friend with the same symptoms. Mom passed out at home after the first booster and broke her coccyx. She swore off future shots, told the GP and he didn’t persist.

Regarding the unsurprising negative reaction to current marijuana use is directly related to the cultivated THC levels. The strength is nowhere near the content of 40 years ago. Additionally, if you buy your weed on the street, you very likely will be smoking something that has added chemicals for a kick. Street dealers do this for marketing reasons. And depending on the age, marijuana use almost certainly is a gateway.

Libertarians fail here. And legalization does not eliminate the black market or the violence. I had homicides where the kids shot and killed buyers as they were driving away or just to conduct a robbery, even if there was no dispute over the sale.

I don’t understand imbibing when it takes you off your game and it’s not like buying alcohol or something at the drug store. There are no ingredient labels.

It’s all about getting high. I had minute prostate issues involving small grade cancers so I was experimenting with home

grown canabis suppositories. Doesn’t get you high seemed to help didn’t hurt but in the long run had 2 procedures to reduce my symptoms. If I want to get under the influence I’ll do red wine. I do believe pot can remove your filter the filter that makes you civilized for certain individuals. And for sure can fuck up your golf game,

Thank you for taking on and continuing to follow up on this insidious matter Ann. Paragraph 20 of the Tablet article is especially worrisome. (Across state lines). Our younger generation is continuing to be the Guinea Pig for this “whatever” attitude from and of the FDA. “Worry” does not even begin to adequately describe the situation. Thank you again.

Ann left out the guy who jumped out the window after smoking pot and forgot to mention the scene in which the reefer head keeps yelling at the piano player to play faster.

Name the person who overdosed to death on marijuana.

Well at least one question has been answered...

"...crying obsessively, inconsolable, paranoid over things, thinking people were after us...."

Now we know that Adam Kinzinger is a pot-head.

Noting like being validated in under 24 hours by another source, a Lib one at that. Defenders of marijuana wrongly believe they know the facts and remedies. Ignorance abounds. The black market survives and violence is the only defender of the black market.
