If the NYT had any balls at all just fire all those who signed onto this letter. That would put a quick end to it.

That's the only thing that's going to stop all this cancel culture. Just destroy them openly and notoriously. From NFL players, to dudes on girls' swim teams to angry black professors screaming for the murder of all whites. Just cut them off.

So-called "Advocacy Journalism" is a virus carried by nearly all so-called journalists these days. It wasn't always so. Ron Fournier really opened the floodgates when he took over the AP. Before the 2000s, you could spot the bias but it took a little work because it was camouflaged in the language. You could tell whose side the journalists were on but they felt obliged to be at least somewhat accurate in reporting the other side. Now they are full-fledged partisan hacks channeling their inner Joy, Mika, or Rachel. The worst part is that it infects local papers, radio, and even tv. You visit Conservativesville, USA and open the paper or turn on the local news and you'll read or hear the same Commie crap you'd read or hear in NYC, DC, or San Francisco because it is largely being pulled from the AP or the network TV and radio feeds. That is one reason why half the country still believes Russia was in the tank for Trump for example. They have simply never been exposed to the truth on so many things. Even people who should know more don't. Recall how Tim Ryan had to be told by a FoxNews town hall audience that six cops weren't murdered in the Capitol on January 6. Or to continue the hit parade, "Hands up, Don't Shoot." As Ann mentioned again recently, "George Floyd: Model Citizen." I could go on and on. These "journalists" today all got their degrees from the Joseph Goebbels School of Journalism, and they majored in far-left activism.

Cancel creatures are starting to eat each other alive.

Yeah, maybe it’s that. It’s a comforting thought. They’ll devour themselves and we’ll win by default. Everything will get back to normal and the Times will be a liberal rag again. Oh, Happy Day!

On the other hand, it could just be what the old party always called “discipline.” Correcting all those “right wing deviationists” and other heretics. That’s a purifying ritual which results in a more finely tempered ideological weapon.

They are not going to defeat themselves. Don’t expect those who hold the commanding heights to eat each other or do anything other than train their best ordnance on the peasants outside those high walls -- you and me.

Sincere Question:

Other than a VERY few holdouts who are still employed at places like Breitbart or The Daily Mail and perhaps a couple other places, are there any 'real' Journalists available to be hired anymore, if by some miracle the NYT or other Legacy outlets were to suddenly develop an interest in real Journalism?

Just as a shipping company that decided to return to The Age Of Sail and commission a fleet of Tea Clippers would likely have a heck of a time finding able bodied seamen who knew the difference between a Topgallant Yard and a Main Halyard, so also I'm guessing that The Columbia School Of Journalism has made darned sure that NOBODY who holds one of their diplomas is even aware of the concept of "Journalistic Ethics".

When we wax nostalgic for a return to a time when we could actually begin to trust the Press to be at least somewhat truthful, professional and honorable, we need to remember that we are asking for something that no longer exists.

Or, am I wrong? I'm honestly curious, and any thoughtful corrections would be appreciated..

is the Oxford Comma not a thing anymore??

my 7th grade English teacher, would be APPALLED!!!

Expand full comment

I had to look up what that meant. The first thing I thought was Oxford Comma meant assembling a large number of bulldozers at rallies of pussies who want to use their mediocrity or birth defect as their currency and using the bulldozers to push the defects into the nearest wall or body of water, with a secondary meaning of bulldozers burying border jumpers who were shot while breaking into the country.

He uses it the first time, but not the next. Strange.

"That policy prohibits our journalists from aligning themselves with advocacy groups" ??

but the NYT is completely woke! they always take the far Left, progressive Democrat position...

so this "policy" means nothing!

I am still suspended from Twitter for Tweeting about LGBTQ mostly Trans. I was taught in school biology that all life are doing 2 things in common first they are surviving 2 they are surviving as a species, plants leave seeds, and chicken hatch eggs and so all live or 99.9% of life are doing this I would say that is the natural order of this Planet. You can argue whether it is God's Intelligent design or just luck! I stated that LGBTQ are perverting the natural order of the Planet. That is the is science! For that, I was suspended. The truth will set you free except on Twitter! Oh Yeah!

Ann, please look over my points to why Trump may be a deep state plant

No one will respond to this, which makes me believe I'm on to something

Please let me know what you think & follow me if you agree cuz I have a lot more to expose about lies those in power are perpetrating

Why I don't Trust Trump

1. Trump helps with the DeepState's plans to divide & conquer the country

2. He unites the DeepState with Hilary/Obama Establishment Dems+Neocon RINO war criminals+ Corporate Oligarchs + Govt industrial complex + the INSANE woke cult

3. Trump was a billion dollar boom to leftwing Corporate Media & a narcissist just like them

4. Trump Ignored persecuted supporters like J6 folks & hasn't lifted a finger to help them or any other person who suffered for supporting Trump

5. Deep State was able to get Trump to quickly remove most of the MAGA staff from White House staff

6. DC/FBI harassed & raided Trump's loyal MAGA staff while ignoring his Deep State staff & Trump's raid was treated lightly

7. Trump is protected by Deep State because they planted him to create a cult on the extreme opposite side of the Leftwing cult

8. Trump is the deep state's wet dream since they can use him to justify their tyrannical actions. See Jan 6, Patriot Front false flag, Hamilton68

9. If Trump really cared about America's future more than his enormously fragile ego, he would get behind a younger candidate with great potential to help shape a better future for all Americans. He won't because he's either too arrogant or as I suspect a puppet to something more nefarious.

10. Trump didn't drain any of the swamp like he promised, didn't attempt to prevent election fraud while whining it was going to happened and he didn't pass any laws to protect Americans from deep state surveillance

People need to wake TF up out of their coma cuz the deep state is far more in control & powerful than they truly understand. One way you can see this is how more brazen they have been becoming.

We have a narrow gap of opportunity to organize together to stop them.

Sadly I don't see any large groups or personalities with the foresight and urgency to make this happened. Time is running out

The Times stopped reporting facts along time ago. Instead, they report spin using way too many adverbs.

The Times will cave. The statement they made is just a fig-leaf to their prompt surrender, copium for desperate conservatives who think “We’re winning without having to fight.”

GLAAD insists on a meeting with Times editors: watch for it in a few months.

GLAAD insists on op-ed and editors positions for transgender advocates: watch for the announcement of these glass-ceiling shatterers soon.

Why don’t right wing culture warriors and Christians ever make those demands on corporations, universities and media companies? It’s a tactic that’s been working beautifully for them for 50 years, but conservatives have never copied it.

Instead we let billionaires set up useless think tanks with Asness Chairs in Applied Liberty for their libertarian lickspittles. We “self-silo” ourselves.

Maybe the NYT should learn that, ultimately, anarchy does not discriminate. The Jacobins were very late to that party of awareness.
