Justin Pearson Succeeded a Dead Woman
It was a real nail-biter whether Pearson's District would reinstate him!
MSNBC was keeping a close eye on the returns from the 86th District of Tennessee last night, to see whether the City Council of Memphis would reappoint expelled representative, Justin Pearson, to the House.
It promised to be a long night, what with the people in Pearson’s district closely examining the facts, weighing their options, and absolutely NOT voting on color.
The last representative from the 86th district was Barbara Cooper, who served for 25 years — Memphis voters are tough! — and was re-elected at age 93, two weeks after she’d died.
Yeah, I lived in Memphis for many years, and none of this surprises me. They had a city councilman named Ricky Peete who went to prison for taking bribes and, as soon as he got out, was promptly reelected to the city council. I don't even think he could (legally) vote as a convicted felon, but that didn't even give the ignoramuses of Memphis's ghettos a moment's pause in voting for him. If you have dark skin and use the right buzzwords, the retarded majority (no exaggeration, the average IQ in some neighborhoods is literally below 70) in Memphis will happily vote for you, no matter how many crimes you commit in office and no matter how dead you might be. But those retards will claim it's only because of racism that their communities are third-world shitholes within a first-world country (for now it'sa first-world country). And now overeducated white Marxcissists have decided that the rest of the country needs to have Memphis-style dysfunction imposed on it to promote "equity." Welcome to clownworld!
