Thank you Ann for the link to full Heather Mac Donald article. Thank God and goodness we now know what we know. If the November election had not spoken volumes as it did, worsening drugs on the street (K-2) and disparate impact would bury law abiding citizens alive even more. Heather’s article mentioned Penny “recklessly disregarded the risk of death”. Preposterous ness applied to a criminal history of hard drug use. Thank God and goodness chivalry is not dead. If what I heard is accurate, Mr. Penny awaits a civil trial from the father of the subway menace. I hope Penny is not put through the wringer any more. Enough is enough.

The City and state rather should be the targets of a civil trial. Decades and decades of failure; Penny on the scene for ten minutes. And he saved people. Who have these governments saved?

Penny should get the Presidential Medal of Freedom! Maybe name that subway line after him.

As Ann and others have said: the best way to stop talking about race is to stop talking about race. Does any sane person think Penny took race into account when the safety of others was at the highest risk? Does any sane person think Penny does not regret the outcome? Does any sane person think he would not do the same thing under the same conditions again? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these queries, YOU are insane.

In the bad old days they warehoused folks who could not or would not play well with others. Sadly the usual suspects put an end to the practice. Perhaps, if the decisions makers of NY lost their car services and private security they would approach the problem differently.

Oddly...and troubling.....Identity politics has no identity for a murderer....just skin color and sexual affiliations....

Great perspective.

Penny was a hero, plain and simple. The State gave up any pretense toward helping the mentally ill long ago, and the city is woefully behind in appointing cops in the subway. I thank the cops every time I see them in the subway and that's not too often. And you have to hand it to New Yorkers, who saw the trial as a sham and returned a NG verdict. And let's also give thanks to Bernie Goetz, the Subway Vigilante, who in 1984 shot 4 teenagers who were trying to mug him. If the cops aren't going to patrol the subways, we civilians have to take care of ourselves.

Penny was a hero in more ways than one. Does anyone think he would do it again?

Or Kyle Rittenhouse? Or going way back, Bernie Goetz? Unfortunately, the lesson remains to keep one's head down lest some lunatic Soros DA persecute your heroism. Penny's additional reward will be further litigation by Neely's loving absentee family and their ambulance chasing lawyers.

Who was Bernie Goetz?

Everyone should understand, just as with the Chinese lab virus hysteria, proliferation, the viral spread of mental/emotional illness among blacks is being force fed to us to mitigate their crime. It is not mental illness it is criminal intent against targeted populations to include Whites, Asians and Jews. It is an encouragement by the justice warriors to use mental/emotional illness to mitigate, to empathize, to excuse crime including most prominently, hate crime. It is the ‘justice system’ spreading this lie.

Daniel Penny survived by the skin of his teeth. After all his ‘victim’ was just a happy go lucky guy forever denied the pleasure of pleasing the straphangers with his vaudeville moon walk shtick.

And do tell, isn’t there a mental/emotional illness that propels people to do good? To be kind and helpful? The mentally/emotionally disturbed don’t target certain people. It’s scum that target the weak, the unsuspecting, the elderly. When a gang of 5-6 descend on prey are they all suffering mental/emotional illness?

The answer to your question is yes, but they should be liquidated just the same. I would argue that mental illness should promote a violent predator to the head of the execution queue.

I feared Penny was going to be another human sacrifice to the godless leftists.

The best thing about the acquittal is it'll make other Neelys in the future think twice before going on a rampage: They now know if they do some other Penny is liable to hand them their head on a platter. They may be crazy but they're not stupid.

Al Sharpton is now involved because if the civil suit against Penny succeeds Sharpton will want a cut of the proceeds!

A bit of an aside, but I miss Fat Sharpton. He was more authentic than Skinny Sharpton.

Sharpton back in the day when he was fat actually ran a good senate campaign.

"For now, the heroic male virtues of chivalry, self-reliance, and initiative have been vindicated, in the face of government’s effort to snuff those values out. "

For now and longer, we pray. Perhaps this is the highwater mark of the Frankfurt School paralyzing our most basic of instincts and noble of virtues. Still, any jury comes to court under a heavy presumption of being 12 individuals too stupid to escape jury duty. They will corrupt justice because dinner's late and their tummies growl.

Unfortunately the criminal underclass in America has learned from the moslem community in Europe. They have jumped on the crazy train. The most outrageous behavior is dismissed as insanity triggered by Islamophobia . Truly crazy people randomly lash out they don’t carefully select targets based on age gender or religion
