I feel sorry for the majority of female officers because they are convinced and hired to do a job that they are not capable of doing and create a hazard for those around them in the process.

Of course there are always exceptions. I personally know a few women LEO who could kick my ass and would not hesitate to if needed but they are a 3rd deviation exception and not the average.

In fact, by changing the hiring standards to accommodate the pipe-dream woke hiring goals, departments are now hiring males who make me look like a tough guy (not the case at all) so the cops are forced into retreat; overwhelming (excessive) numbers and force or just emptying high capacity magazines and maybe getting a lethal hit for which they will be crucified.

30 years ago most of this could have been handled with a night-stick or blackjack but I guess this was too effective for the liberals...no future neurosurgeons with 15 children; 28 prior felonies and high school honors murdered by the police to start gofundme collections for.

Yup!

A group of cops beating a perp with clubs was "bad optics", so now they all just pull their guns, empty their mags, and kill the person. ("why did the police fire 27 shots!? It's their training!")

Ain't "progress" grand!

When the body cam footage is reviewed there is usually a lack of confidence apparent combined with multiple conflicting and inciting communications screamed at the perp. It is like facing off against a vicious dog by screaming nonsense and retreating. As you said, bad hiring and bad training...top-down problem.

There were very good reasons why the physical attributes required to be a police officer, were what they were in "the old days", and frankly speaking, that was in an era when cops were much less likely to encounter drugged up psychopaths bent on killing them in close combat.

They also used to carry billy clubs, and 3 "D" cell mag lights, that could crack a human skull. It's a proven fact that a perp with a hand weapon (club, knife, hammer) can close the distance, and attack, faster than a cop can drop their notebook, draw, aim, and fire their gun. This has been known for several decades.

Stay vigilant Lady Cops, the world is a most unforgiving playground.

Are you able to live up to your own idealism? Of course some cops are bad. Some portion of anything is bad but we don't throw them all out!

"Are you able to live up to your own idealism?" Yes. "Of course some cops are bad. Some portion of anything is bad but we don't throw them all out!" Good strawman! Did I say I want to throw them all out?

Authority worshipers chant "Back The Blue" without qualification, excuse everything & accuse those who want accountability of being cop-haters etc. This paves the way for more abuse, unjustified "dynamic entries", murders like Ruby Ridge, a corrupt joint fed-local asset forfeiture task force murdering innocent Malibu rancher Don Scott, countless other murders, corrupt local cops helping ATF & FBI piss on the Constitution, massive FBI commando-type raids on harmless guys like Roger Stone, etc. Back The Blue Whatever They Do types delude themselves that FBI's only bad at the top, the actual enforcer-goons are excused for being "good guys" who "Just Follow Orders". Qualified immunity should be abolished. The oath should be taken seriously & enforced.

It ain't just a few. I'm 67. Cop culture changed dramatically for the worse. Until series & movies began glorifying militarized police & ignoring rights, cops weren't wannabe commandos. The days of 1 riot, 1 ranger are gone. Now it's 8 squad cars & 16 cops "backing each other up" to deal with 1 homeless guy sitting on the curb in cuffs. Now small town harbor patrol cops take "anti-terror" training so they can play Jack Bauer.

See Uvalde. *Every* "Blue" there, 400 stupid cowards including commando poseur SWAT teamers did nothing, unless you count cuffing brave parents who tried to go in. How many vics could've been saved had they honored oath & duty? How many bled out while they sat there washing hands, hitting vending machines, texting & jagging off for 1.5 hours? $100 says 50% of those fools had "anti-terror" training. God bless the Border Agents who told everyone to F off, went in, killed the killer. So, only a handful of BLUE out of 400 had the courage & integrity to do the right thing.

Dude I didn't try to paint you under the brush of throw them all out that is the argument that most anti cop people are making; that all cops are bad. What I find most strange is if you're looking for all of the different ways that a fallacy argument can be made why are you making a fallacy argument listing four or five or six whatever it was horrible things that have happened with police over say the last 30 or 40 years. If you count the tens of thousands of interactions police have every day, count the number of police, count the number of actual bad turnouts, you will find that those numbers are very low. You do sound like a cop hater to me. If I generalized you I'm sorry but you should read your comments because that's how you come across.

No, I'm not a cop-hater, just not a copsucker. I admired the police in my hometown when growing up. Now that force is infested with woke scumbags.

But since you don't think there's anything in between cop-hater & copsucker, what does that make you?

Ok, I’ve been with Ann on this subject for years. Boatload of commendations and selected as Cop-of-the-Year in the largest Department in my State. I’ll omit other bona fides.

Women have no business in patrol or dealing with the public under those circumstances. So, does that mean they jump to the head of the line?. Intelligence has nothing to do with it. In fact, they are often promoted faster without the benefit of experience, including informant cultivation. Why? Because the criminals don’t take them seriously and are under no obligation to adhere to woke standards, like we had to prove during oral portion of promotional exams.

Women should not be squaring down with criminals because they cannot demonstrate command presence or be physically dominant. Same reason there used to be a height minimum and trans should not be competing in women’s sports.

How many effin gunshots did you hear? I’m not even going to go back and count.

Women without backup are more likely to be involved in the use of force, particularly deadly force.

I arrested over 3000 criminals, more than 25 for murder, a few when I had no backup. I brawled a lot and you never heard screech like that, which gave that lunatic the impetus to continue.

It drives me crazy when I pass a 95 pound woman with a ponytail directing traffic at a manhole and know that half the Department is dogging her. Don’t think that doesn’t create other departmental issues as well.

I’m glad she survived, but that guy should be dead based on what happened.

But, mental health case or not, that situation likely would not have escalated if a man who fits in his uniform or plainclothes, had confronted the subject.

She's damned lucky she didn't get her brains beat out in seconds, it was that fast. With people like this enforcing what passes for "law" nowadays, is it any wonder that crime is out-of-control?

No doubt the black criminal will now win the ghetto lottery. They always do. CT is a far left state so police officers using force to defend themselves from violent, usually black, criminals will no doubt constitute police brutality or wrongful use of force. Will the civil rights division of the DOJ be opening an investigation?

Unfortunately, Ann isn’t kidding about reparations.

This January SB 818 was entered in the Connecticut Senate calling for a task force to study reparations. It had full Democratic support.

And back in 2020 at the 236th Annual Convention of the Episcopal Church in CONNECTICUT, which I believe is Ann’s denomination, Resolution #7 called on the bishops to create a “Reparations Task Force.” They did. It is still at work.

So, strange as it sounds, in a few years that Connecticut woman police officer could owe that guy with the hammer money.

Our police departments need to satisfy their "gender" quotas by hiring more transgenders and drag queens.

Maybe if properly trained cops were allowed to apply chokes to perps, the field would be more level. It’s ironic that the one technique that could save many lives (cops and perps alike) is banned. I’ve trained jiu jitsu for years and have seen a gazillion times how properly applied chokes can keep all parties safe. Improper applied chokes or strangles (too tight) can do harm, no doubt about it. Perhaps if cops were mandated to get this type of training in the first place, things would be different.

Thank you for sharing this video Ann. Defund the police. Re-fund the me-too. Just enough minutes of air play/screen time view, just enough dash of racism, to scream bias, to create divisiveness. Nothing insouciant about it. The video is self explanatory.
