At this point, anything that encourages homeschooling is a step in the right direction. Academia is in a Dark Age and is in desperate need of a Reformation. Voices of reason are shouted down by the hysterical gauleiters of the Left, who will eagerly destroy the career and even the life of anyone who dares to break rank with the wokeness leviathan. Illiterate children, devoid of critical thinking skills, are graduating with worthless degrees that will ensure a lifetime of poverty for themselves and their families while they are passed over for the few remaining job opportunities in favor of illegals and foreign-educated employees who are actually able to understand and do the work.
The Beast of modern academia must be starved to death, as that is the only argument it will understand. Homeschooled kids will be able to hit the ground running and run circles around the woke, self-loathing idiots being churned out by the Stalinist schools. Homeschooling was still illegal in Washington State when I was going to school and so I was subjected to a frustrating time, to put it mildly. I was Blessed, however, with having parents who encouraged me to read books at an early age, and I developed a voracious appetite for learning, in some measure because the Government schools were so poorly run despite being very lavishly funded.
I credit my parents' encouragement for the way I turned out, although every day I am reminded of how very little I know.

I homeschooled all four of my kids, and it was tough at times. My wife and I worked opposite shifts for decades to do it. Anyone who sticks a kid in a govt indoctrination building doesn't love the child.
