It all started to go wrong with the immigration and nationality act of 1965. We can thank Ted Kennedy for that one. That’s when the face of America significantly changed. Every president since then has paid lip service to illegal immigration. The best of the brightest from all of these countries are not coming here. We are getting the drug addict losers psychotics, and schizophrenics. Our country is being drowned out by probably good people, but with no skill set to necessarily help our country other than to clean the chamber pots at Oprah Winfrey‘s house. Even the Republican governors, who have the ability to stop a lot of the flow in the border states have been compromised. With the exception of the Muslim terrorists, and Chinese military, aged nationals, illegally crossing the border, the only saving grace is most are Catholic, and eventually will vote conservative. That is if the first two groups of illegals don’t blow us up first.

GOVERNOR DESANTIS IS DOING SOMETHING. He sued the Biden administration for violating federal law by releasing illegals into the country, costing Florida money to school, house, feed and bathe them.

The rest of the world is dumping their criminals and welfare cases on us. They've got to go back.

Where did you get the idea most are Catholic? And that will save us eventually?! Catholicism hasn’t saved Central America from the most insane violence on the planet. Don’t even get me started on the idea that they will “eventually” vote conservative, because in that case you can keep on waiting for California to turn conservative. (Never gonna happen.) I don’t not admire optimism, but I think you’re terribly misguided about immigration: most are not good people and the idea they’ll turn into good Americans someday, when America can’t even keep some form of patriotism alive amongst its own, is so laughably delusional that it’s almost dangerous.

We have no discernible identity or culture anymore except in enclaves. There was a nice Nigerian who I worked with, he said he was a biologist but when I asked him to teach me something he could not. He came in because he married a black citizen apparently so now he's an 'American' I guess. That is how f'ed up the system is that they will just let in anyone no matter their skill, background or culture. The problem feeds into itself, because we have no identity or culture we let anyone come in and because we let anyone come in there is no culture to assimilate to. There may not be a solution anymore, there are too many here to deal with and now we may be fated to end up like Mexico or some central American country.

We do have a culture, but it's simultaneously being ripped down (monuments, portraits, names etc of our forebears who build America) and overwhelmed by dysfunctional foreign cultures.

The rich mostly don't care. They have their foreign outposts and Gulfstream jets, but most Americans do care. If only politicians would notice.

It's all just very demoralizing like we are slated for destruction no matter what. My grandfather wanted my mother to be all-American when he came here from Hungary and so did my Italian grandfather for my father and now that is a joke. It is so sad that we have to look towards a billionaire funded Desantis to be our savior, hoping that he may enforce the law and get congress to stop weaponized immigration.

Judging by De Santis’ record so far in government (he gets it done and he stood up to the evil, immense pressure of the world’s governments during Covid, which was the biggest proof that he’s on the right side), I’d say I’m looking forward to him being the nominee, provided idiotic republicans aren’t too blinded by their loyalty to the orange liar who never built the wall. As for culture, I’m first generation American and I can tell you, Americans have a culture and my parents wanted so badly to be part of it that now sometimes I feel more American than my American peers. It is a culture that lifted the world out of the dark ages. Be proud of it.

You can also thank Emmanuel Celler of a certain ethnic group. I don't consider any illegal alien a good person when they break in to this nation then attempt to get as much taxpayer funded free stuff as humanly possible. That is not the character that built and sustained America for long. America won't survive Latin American and other third world free loaders.

When you go down that road you get swamped with moral arguments and propaganda but it was them that were the ones who pushed open borders more than anyone else and continue to this day calling everyone who disagrees a white supremacist while cheering the results of it like it is the best thing since sliced bread. That is why I am so turned off by some conservatives.

I dunno about the saving grace - what I have seen is a lot of people coming from Africa. Young Africa men - I don't think they are Catholic. They have been under the mistaken premise that the streets of America are paved with gold and it's there for the taking. And New York is the bastion of wealth - look how fast they rebuilt the World Trade Center. Compared to the shacks they have lived in, USA is a bastion of wealth. But winter is coming. I don't think they will take well to laying on cardboard outside hotels much longer. We are in major trouble - economically yes, but also due to a whole lotta men - many that don't speak English.

" look how fast they rebuilt the World Trade Center."

actually, the debacle of rebuilding that abomination is a clue to how beyond repair the US / Western Civilization is.

They had the f***in' blueprints for the towers in a drawer across the street and it took them 12 f***in' years to build what originally took 6 years to build, twice.

This is because of the cultural sensitivity of New Yorkers, apparently, though in fact it was due to every f***in' grease ball special interest group needing their spoon in the soup, too.

If the US had wanted to send a signal that buildings could be destroyed (for the sake or argument by a bunch of camel riding nomads though in truth by the Deep State itself) but the American spirit lives on, they should have rebuild replica towers except make them 111 floors high, or a variation where a central area would have risen higher, made to resemble a giant middle finger.

It is for all to see at this point that the purpose of congress is not to solve problems but to create them, the purpose of the executive is not to enforce the law but help criminals commit crimes, the purpose of the judiciary is not to provide clarity to the law but to pervert it and make it illegible.

Yes, YES! "Our broken immigration system", "comprehensive immigration reform" - the Dems repeat this over and over (and over) because even they are not insane enough to say "Come on, people, we've had the faucet on for 50 years and there are STILL a few people left in Oaxaca. How long do you people need to wrap your three belongings in a blanket and hit the road to Laredo?" into a camera.

And of course Ann is right when she says that these empty phrases cannot and will not have any meaning that does not involve MORE immigration and the further salsafication of the country. When normal people hear that our immigration system is "broken", they think "Yeah, there are WAY too many immigrants here" but liberals' definition of "broken" in this context means "there are WAY too many rules in place stopping illiterate peasants from coming here."

And quick "btw" point - Ever notice that Head Start, the entire education establishment, the Post Office, teachers unions, urban black culture, diversity training, anything to do with rainbow people, etc. is NEVER "broken", no matter what? Only a system that inconveniences Somali warlords trying to visit their kids in Minneapolis can be "broken".

The hour is far too late to be waiting for a wall. If the nation is to have any hope of even slowing its accelerating slide into its violently dysfunctional Third World incarnation, a post-American era of a so-called 'United States,' it will only arrive with a Commander-in-Chief in the White House declaring a state of national emergency, freezing all legal immigration into the U.S. for at least a two-year 'breather' period and immediately ordering The Pentagon to deploy 250,000 fully-armed troops with air support to the former southern border (and a smaller force deployed to the northern frontier) with a demand that the brass secure complete operational control of America's property lines within 72-hours. These actions and more should be initiated with a national televised address that outlines the depth of the measures, assures the American people they are once more the priority of the federal government and puts the rest of the world on notice that the open door policies of almost a half century are now and forever over.

Of course, the likelihood of a President taking such drastic-but-decisive action is somewhere around less than zero, which is why I have concluded it is pretty much over for the country but remain very thankful as I approach my 60s that I was able to enjoy a full life that was rich in both opportunity and experience as an American whose homeland was still a First World nation with a cohesive cultural identity.

At least over drinks in Morro Bay, I can still see California as it once was and enjoy the ride out as my native state finally slides away not seismically into the ocean, but rather disappears into a sea of wild-eyed humanity that has converged upon it from all corners of the globe.

All this talk of Biden corruption as the basis for impeachment is overlooking the most obvious reason to impeach him: President Biden is not doing his job. He is not enforcing the immigration laws that he himself voted for when he was in the Senate. He is not protecting the USA. He is beholden to foreign interests, including asylum seekers. The President has the statutory authority to declare a moratorium on immigration, and Biden is doing the opposite: granting "prosecutorial discretion." He needs to be impeached from office for that reason alone. All other reasons are just gravy.

Dems have turned NYC into a fetid, festering sewer. I loved visiting the city with my wife and kids, something we did plenty. No longer. Hell, I wouldn’t visit NYC today without a fire support team from the 3rd Marines.

Unless Trump gets back in office it will take a lot of men willing to give the ultimate sacrifice to repel a group of invaders by any means necessary to send the message to our federal government that it doesn’t have the right to skirt existing laws with phony asylum claims in order to replace our electorate and supplant our vote with unassimilated foreign nationals who tend by large numbers to vote Democrat.

Trump knew the Democrats would not give him the wall or stop chain migration, er, I meant invasion, so they didn’t get DACA caca. No amnesty during Trump’s tenure and about 500M of wall did get built before the Democrats got judges to stop construction being continued. Trump never agreed to a blanket amnesty.
