In the days preceding Jan 6, I thought that the event should be canceled because it was the middle of winter and that you don’t make your supporters freeze outside for hours.
After it happened, I wondered why Trump did not cancel the event when the presence of the National Guard was denied.
He or his advisers should have known that he was being set up by the Democrats/Deep State.
