What floors me is the attitude of that ditz in charge of the Secret Service. When asked point-blank who takes final responsibility for the events of Saturday, her response, in so many words was, "The buck stops here....but I'm not going to resign!" Wow, that's impressive! Talk about 'taking responsibility.'
Feh...the heck with 'asking her to resign,' she ought to be fired, pure & simple. Let her go back to doing security at Pepsi or something. (Hell, I wouldn't even hire her to guard the door at WalMart!)
The stupid notion that men and women are the same (or for some fem's, that women are a "superior race") amazes me.
Heaven forbid one respect women's ability to bear children, be attractive, her desire to care for men and others, her organizational talents, love of the gine things, ability to parallel process, talents at management, and maturity. And heaven forbid one balance that with respect for man's physical strength, mental strength/stubbornness, love of STEM, ability to focus on one thing while tuning everything else out, stable emotions, desire to protect women and others, put themselves in danger, and take the dirty jobs.
It's so sad impressionable women, and neutered men do not recognize how imbalanced they really are. We would be better off if that were not so.
Another thought...and I'm serious here...why can't women (esp petites like me) get dispensation for carrying a gun?I can't carry my handgun from Florida to NYC, but New York is where I need it! If NY is not going to provide a sufficient police force, I need to be able to protect myself.
My guess is that you could probably handle a weapon better & more competently than those ditzy female agents could. (One of 'em couldn't even holster her weapon! She looked like a Keystone Kop fumbling & bumbling around!)
I’m a 5’4 middle aged woman and I must be the target of every female policewoman - and why not, I’m a white suburban chick who of course is compliant with law enforcement (geez I’m SORRY about that tail light lady don’t put me in cuffs!) possibly easily taken down by a lady cop - as long as she doesn’t try to catch me - so they can keep society safe from Karens who have faulty lights on their old Wrangler.
Yes I get it I had to be warned about this - and I got the light fixed - but ma’am did you really have to behave like I was a J6er?
Thankfully, as a man, I will never suffer being called a "Karen" which, if I were, I would deck the name-caller and enjoy fighting the charges in court.
Only the US media could enthusiastically promote a disparaging term 100% more offensive than the infamous (for rappers-only) "N" word.
While the "N" word is a disparaging reference to people of color, the term "Karen" is 100% worse...it is race and gender specific i.e., the exclusive domain of a White Female.
Yet, the hypocritical virtue-signalers love it...go figure.
At least I would be proud to be called a redneck by a retard from the MSM who thinks the only way to change a lightbulb is a visit to the proctologist.
Trying to shoehorn females into male roles has cost a considerable number of lives over the years. I don't know if you remember, but way back in 1994 Colorado senator Pat Schroeder was bound and determined to get a female fighter pilot into the Navy. She was pushing Kara Hultgreen as an F-14 pilot in wake of the Tailhook Scandal.
Normally, pilots who received 2 pink slips (unacceptable landing approaches) were washed out. Kara had 6, but she was still allowed to attempt landings on the USS Lincoln. The inevitable happened, as she continued her landing approach, 7 seconds after being waved off (7 seconds is a lifetime on approach), she overshot center line, forced a correction that killed left engine air and it flamed out. The plane then barrel-rolled into the Pacific. She was recovered 19 days later on the bottom, still strapped to her seat.
It was all political, but still 100% unnecessary. F-14s were apparently a bitch to fly and lots of male pilots had crashed tripping over the limitations of flying a swing wing. Still, Schroeder coerced the Navy into accepting Kara and it resulted in her death and the loss of a $38 million fighter.
So here we are, 30 years later, and what have we learned? The job doesn't care if you have a vajayjay, it only cares if you can do it competently. These things don't change.
There are no women in BUDS training, or the NFL, or on oil derricks. But apparently the Secret Service can afford window dressing because, well, it's not THAT important. Unfortunately, incompetence is enshrined in the Biden administration, as none of his fuckups have been fired (except for that circus clown who was stealing women's luggage at the airport, I guess.)
Why women are attracted to "tough guy" professions confounds me. There are so many other jobs women can do, like GYN's, which men probably should not do. But it works both ways; I'm more than happy to let men act like men, but I can count on one hand the times a man stood up for me at a restaurant last year. I think one of the issues is there's no clear rulebook...maybe Ann's next book?
Stacey, in my experience I've found that women generally go into 'tough guy' jobs because they want to 'stand up for the sisterhood'; if they're lesbian it is a HUGE plus in that arena; they want undeserved status or they simply want the paycheck. It's rarely because they want to be an equal part of a team...they know that's a non-starter.
As to why men haven't stood up for you at restaurants, that or any other Chivalric gesture is a career and a social killer for men.I have been SCREAMED at by women for politely holding a door open for them.
Women often ask "Where have all the good men gone?"
The answer is that they've been killed off by shrill, misandrist militant feminists.
That being said, I still take every opportunity to extend Chivalric courtesies to Ladies because that's how I was raised and I know it's the right thing to do.
Thank You Stoat - I agree, it's for status or maybe even for adventure. I suppose if women are going to continue working they need to find more fun jobs! Pay no attention to women who chastise you for being polite - long live chivalry!
You had me laughing at the headline of 'Freeze! I Just Had My Nails Done!'—classic!—but I too recall the case of Brian Nichols and remembered that it began with a female officer getting pummeled and ended after another woman Nichols had taken hostage soothed him into surrendering, which apparently included reading him some New Age self-actualizing screed and whipping up some her famous banana pancakes for him. Brava! Of course, I don't blame the hostage for successfully navigating her ordeal—which could have been a lot worse than putting some Aunt Jemima on the griddle—but the feminization of policing over the decades has taken a devastating toll on both law enforcement and the civil society it is meant to protect.
As a former crime reporter at the daily newspapers in the way back, I knew a few female officers and while they were relatively tough (on a scale comprised solely of other women) and certainly good people, not a single one the male cops I knew wanted one either as a partner or rolling as backup, period. They may not have voiced that during briefings, but they weren't shy about it over drinks with reporters they trusted.
An old friend of mine was a cop in Portland back in the 1980s and he was taken hostage after two robbery suspects were able to get the drop on and overpower his female partner, taking her gun. He dropped his gun in exchange for the dopers releasing her, which they did. They held him in a motel room (think the The Crystal Palace in Breaking Bad) during a long standoff that finally ended when he was able to snatch one of the guns as they were nodding off (he had smartly refused to let them handcuff him or lay face down on the floor) and he wasted both of them. He said his biggest fear at that point was being killed by the entry team as he was shooting the douche bags. His ordeal was pretty big news back then and was turned into an officer training video/exercise, but he said the real takeaway was don't work with female cops. He would know.
And if the real cops didn't want women working alongside or behind them when patrolling the mean streets back then, then why should society embrace this disastrous social experiment now?
As I wrote in my column Rise of The Berserker a few months back: Feminizing and politicizing police forces across the country—not ‘defunding’ them—has been pivotal in unleashing an epic wave of wanton criminality and accelerated the collapse of civil society.
How did weak-armed NYPD candidates make it through the obstacle course, which required the strength to make it over a wall? They often didn't. During the "last chance" the observing officer conveniently turned his back and shazaaaam, the weak-armed were magically on the other side when he turned around. Did you really think that obese cop on the beat made it through an obstacle course?
When my brother was in the NYPD police academy the sergeant in charge, after a female candidate couldn't make it over the wall, asked my brother "you're pursuing a perp who has scaled a fence but your partner , candidate Smith, can't get over the fence. What do you do?" My brother had no answer and the sergeant said "that's right. There's not a damn thing you can do."
In my experience women and much smarter than men. When it comes to defending life I prefer the strongest-biggest -baddest -dudes I can find.
Recently there was a photo of the local Sheriffs Dept, a considerable percentage were women and they were not in the best shape. Their primary job is to move prisoners from jail to court, it is a miracle there are not more escapes and deaths of deputies.
Thank you Ann for an important update on civil liberties protection of US citizens. Agree 100%. The DEI fall out has caused me near mental exhaustion of extreme worry over the daily safety and protection of my two sons-who I believe are grateful I am not a feminist. Especially these last 4 years.
"Another study I’ve devised involves asking a woman to open a jar of pickles."
I almost passed out from laughing at that one... thanks, Ann! 😂

Supposedly Cheadle is a friend of Jill.

Exactly 👍

Because Soros cares about destabilizing our country, but not at all about you. Best to avoid NYC and Maryland too.

Redneck is popular as well, and just as acceptable.
At least I would be proud to be called a redneck by a retard from the MSM who thinks the only way to change a lightbulb is a visit to the proctologist.
Ann was and is always right!
Except on Romney.

"Freeze! I Just Had My Nails Done!" brought on a 15-second spasm of laughter.
Why women are attracted to "tough guy" professions confounds me. There are so many other jobs women can do, like GYN's, which men probably should not do. I LMAO reading the pickle jar test proposal, mostly because it is so true.
Once again Ann to the rescue! Reportedly there are no women in Trump's Milwaukee Secret Service detail.

I remember where I was when this article was first published. The "five-foot-tall grandma" phrase and image has stuck with me.
