Remember when, after 9/11, The New York Times demanded that the federal government take over airport security?
Demonstrating that no one at the Times had ever been to a DMV, the paper assured us that federal TSA agents would be “a highly trained federal force” that was “desperately needed” to “protect air passengers.”
The only nuts opposing the federalization of the TSA were Republicans who — according to the Times — were invoking “tired anti-government dogma.“ I.e. people who had been to the DMV.
Here’s your highly trained federal force:
I avoid flying like the plague. Airports in America are very much like your typical zoo, with the exceptions that zoos are infinitely safer and the primates aren’t in charge of things.
The scary thing is that without jobs like the TSA these people would be unemployable.
