I hadn't been aware of Trump supporting the profoundly mentally Ill during his beauty pageant. That alone would, in a sane world, get him laughed off the public stage. We're in a truly Dark Age now, where logic no longer exists at all among vast numbers of people.

As a Nation, we are in desperate, desperate need of sane, rational leadership.

DeSantis / Coulter 2024

Ann, you know I love you, but I'm gonna break with you a little on this one. Yes, Trump comes with more baggage than an airport but he is the ONLY one they're afraid of, which tells me something. Until the Republicans get their, um, "courage" sewn back on as a party and learn to streetfight like Dems, I'm gonna back the guy that makes leftists cry the most.

I'm from Florida and I love DeSantis but the traction simply isn't there. Maybe he should have waited four years after all.

We can lose with Dole-Romney-McCain types or we can go down with two middle fingers raised in the air — I know which one I choose.

The nut-bar left includes Trump. Every day he opens his mouth he makes pronouncements that boggle how he is an actual Presidential candidate. I simply don’t subscribe to “It’s just Trump,” when everything is on the line.

I’ve see some ups and downs in American politics over 72 years. The last 10 have been the worst. By far. By a country fvcking mile. It’s evident America, not unlike the whole of the Western world, has lost its way.

I feel it is past time for the States to assert more of their legal independence and prepare for the worst...because the next Presidential election isn't going to be the end of all this lunacy....

With now no DOJ and the Swamp out of control, no reason for States to abide to Federal corruption,

we need to face the reality that the USA is not that anymore or very near to lost.

TDS so powerful that Ann will work overtime to make her sure her prediction is right. Sad.

The loss in 1964, was due, as you previously noted in one of your books, primarily to LBJ’s most effective campaign ad. This lie has long term effects that still reverberate today. If LBJ hadn’t won, his Great Society wouldn’t have happened.

Ann, you are one of the brightest minds in political discourse today. You present a well-reasoned argument and you may be right that only Trump can lose the 2024 election to Biden, Newsome or RFK Jr.

I wish you would reserve a measure of your vitriol for Ronna Romney McDaniel. Democrats introduced several measures by 2020 to steal future elections. Ballot harvesting, drop boxes, no ID voting and expansion of mail-in ballots. When Republicans failed to drop McDaniel as RNC head, they insured that there would be no legal challenges to these blatant vote cheating mechanisms, whatsoever. By now, desperate times call for desperate measures. In addition to fighting the DNC, Deep State, MIC, corporate America, and the lying press, we have to go medieval on every RINO, Uniparty stooge and every mealy-mouthed Republican apologist.

Looking at the Republican field, who can take on this blob and win? Ron DeSantis is a decent guy with all of the right ideas. A truly good man with smarts. But you can't beat a somebody with nobody. DeSantis has had every chance going in to steamroll the rest of the field and has mostly sputtered. This is why we have debates. So that we get a chance to see how well each candidate can compete and think on his feet. While DeSantis has presented the best case on the issues in each debate, he has lacked the 'it' factor. Americans want a winner in the White House because the world is a cutthroat, competitive place. Unfortunately for DeSantis, both Trump and Biden have already been President. Combined with his lack of brilliant charisma and his less than impressive campaign, DeSantis seems to offer the potential of not being up to the job. Biden would likely big-league him in a debate and Newsome would likely out-Hollywood him. It is still early. If Trump is disqualified or does something even more outrageous than he normally does on a routine basis, DeSantis would then become a viable front-runner. The world has never seemed more unhinged than it is right now and anything can happen in the next 12 months.

America still needs to be sold on Ron DeSantis. Trump has his base, has already been President and outdoes DeSantis every day in the court of public opinion. While DeSantis may be preferable to Trump as President, he lacks the debate tenacity of Trump, the name recognition and the enthusiasm that Trump retains from those who voted for him in 2020.

If not for the cheating, Trump would likely have won in 2020 and likely did win but was cheated out of it. Now that Americans have experienced the real Joe Biden, the only way Biden can prevail is if the Republicans run an unknown quantity like DeSantis or any of the rest of the Republican field.

RFK Jr. is a wild card. He could draw Democrats away from Biden or RINO's from Trump. The more you bash Trump, Ann, the more likely we will get the latter over the former. Sometimes it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool. But I don't think either you or Trump can take that advice to heart.

As for who is the front-runner for the Republicans right now, channeling you on Bill Maher's show in 2016, 'Donald Trump.' Cue the Joy Ann Reid bug eyes.

I'm telling anybody who will listen, Donald Trump and his family and friends are all lifelong Democrats. If we hadn't been so fearful of a Hillary Clinton presidency in 2016, maybe this would have mattered a whole lot more than it did.

In a country with 39% support for Dems / Xiden, Trump is the least of your worries.

4 in 10 people (and I use that term loosely) support collectivism and destruction. It is easier to tip the scale to 51% than it is for the GOP to tip the scale to 51% support of minorities because some of the 10% to 15% swing votes who move to the Dems are going to be white kids who move into voting age just as collectivism fills their heart.

The only way to ensure that cheating cannot win and that collectivism cannot prevail is to initiate Operation Wetback and deport every single post 1970 third world arrival and their progeny.

Repeat: In a country with 39% support for Dems / Xiden, Trump is the least of your worries.

What is there to say? If trump is elected by the deluded we are screwed, if desantis is elected and the deluded are overcome there will be hope.

Republicans can do whatever they want, it won't matter because the leftist have created a way to take elections without winning them. Whomever is the most corrupt, takes the most. The leftist could run a cardboard cutout of Biden with Obama's arm around it, propping it up, and take the next election and every election after that. The Electoral College system will be circumvented from now on, legally, if a few more states sign on to the strengthening movement to award state's electors to the national popular vote winner. The Fat Lady is at the front table with a dozen boxes of donuts holding a pitch pipe.

If he gets off social media and behaves like an adult, maybe there's a small chance. I love him and voted twice for him, but he's off the rails.

At least Trump will run on meat and potatoes issues like the economy and immigration which are the two most important issues. Most other Republicans will run on abortion bans, cutting social security and increasing aid to Israel. So yes, prepare for the GOP to get wiped off the map with or without Trump.
