UNCONSTITUTIONAL: White Teachers to be Fired First.

Teachers' unions are constantly trying to get rid of white teachers -- and constantly getting slapped down by the courts.

Are white men overrepresented among teachers? And what if the school doesn’t NEED any more Diversity, Inclusion and Equity teachers?

Whatever. The most important thing to remember is: Teachers are the most selfless, hard-working, underpaid, sainted human beings in the universe!!!

Did I get that right?

Ed Barlow, one of the union leaders who pushed for the “Fire The Whites First” rule, explained:

Yes, unfortunately, it didn’t require ALL the whites to be fired, but it’s a step in the right direction.

To be fair to Ed, the “Fire The Whites First” policy was also supported by a human resources officer for the district, Candra Bennett.

Needless to say, no study shows anything of the sort. The “report” by Desiree Carver-Thomas consists of a series of hypotheses. Here she is (SELFLESS!) —

Yes, why just look at how this BIPOC Child Protective Services worker helped a poor black girl in Texas this week:

Would you get that kind of dedication from a WHITE social worker? I think not.

Carver-Thomas’s report does cite two studies in the footnotes allegedly proving that black students slightly improve their performance with black teachers (as do white students with white teachers).

In fact, the main takeaway from both studies — whether or not the authors realize it — is that students learn better in classes matched to their abilities, or “tracking.” Unfortunately, tracking has been ruled illegal by our Department of Education.

Not surprisingly, such anti-white layoff policies have come up before. Teachers’ unions are constantly trying to fire all the whites, and the courts are constantly having to remind them of the Constitution and the Civil Rights Act. (What’s that called again? Oh yeah: PRECEDENT. Liberals love precedent!)

In 1972, the teachers’ union in Jackson, Michigan demanded a similar “Whites First” layoff policy in its collective bargaining agreement.

Supreme Court: UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

In 1975, the Board of Education of the Township of Piscataway, NJ, tried the same thing.

Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit (en banc): ILLEGAL!

Not to worry, racist teachers’ unions! You can still HIRE 100% on the basis of race. But you can’t FIRE someone on the basis of race: “It is clear that the language of Title VII is violated when an employer makes an employment decision based upon an employee's race.”

In addition to being selfless, hard-working, underpaid, self-sacrificing, and, generally, the bestest people in the whole wide world, teachers are SMART. It’s a blessing to have them teaching our children.
