And why is Pretti always described as a “ nurse?”

He was a armed veteran agitator with a broken rib! That is how he should be described.

PuPu Platter's avatar

The media had a choice of descriptors, including loser, asshole, mentally ill, deluded, and "nurse." As always, they chose the most flattering portrayal.

This is why the libs insist on controlling the media. This allows them to control the narrative.

Social media has chipped away at this, which is why the libs fight against anything that is not the MSM.

If “Gov Nut-job”, of MN allowed the police to do their jobs, these folks would probably still be alive. Yes sir,no sir thank you for the ticket. Naaa let’s push the envelope and see what happens.

That ship sailed with Saint George - patron saint of Fentanyl and phony twenties...

Michael Zilkowsky's avatar

I read a story yesterday, damned if I can remember where, that talked about Minnesota's counterfeit industry and how Saint George (George, George, George of the jungle, watch out for that knee!) passed his fake bill at a store that was not part of the counterfeit ring.

Wilma's avatar

The store was not part of the counterfeit ring!!!

These people are stupid. If you give shit to the cops, you NEVER win that argument.

At a traffic stop, just try telling the cop you pay his salary and he works for you. See how far that gets you…🧐

ktrip's avatar

Well that's it too- your point about pushing the envelope- As I have been saying elsewhere- Good and now Pretti made me believe in white privilege to the extent they both seemed to think they had it. They thought they were bulletproof (figuratively). They managed to disprove white privilege.

F- the police in action.

I love the part where you say, "Divulging anything vaguely negative about a victim whom liberals like is abhorrent, beyond the bounds of decency -- even if the information is true, relevant, and important. On the other hand, if liberals don’t like you, the worst thing you ever did in your life will be front-page news the day after the government kills you."

Dan Sargis's avatar

And most of the time, the worst thing the liberals report that the conservative victim ever did never really occurred…just soulless liberal bullshit made of whole cloth.

WaPo (and ultimately Wikipedia, which quotes it) made a point of declaring that Ashli Babbitt's rank was unimpressive for someone with her years of service in the military, as though that was something important to call out after she was killed.

We really don't need to pretend that "principle" undergirds complaints about scrutiny of Renee Good or Alex Pretti.

John Gault Shrugged's avatar

I'd be shocked if anyone at WaPO actually served in the military let alone know anything about military rank.

Everyone's avatar

It never ceases to amaze me how many people judge our men and women who serve on what their rank was/is. One of the only professions I know that our society does this.

John Gault Shrugged's avatar

Yet when you go to a Legion or VFW post everyone is the same rank. It makes no difference whether you were an E-3 or Flag rank. You’re all equal.

Given the Democrat's support of illegal immigrant child molesters, traffickers, and killers, I would have thought Koresh's alleged act with the 14 year old would be considered a point in his favor. Oh wait, Koresh was an American citizen- so no dice there pal. The Pretti guy and their treatment of him in the media reminds me of the "saints" Kyle Rittenhouse shot. One of them had a gun too by the way...the other had a skateboard. Dr. Drew said that about 5-10% of street people/antifa types are psychopaths and sociopaths.

mike's avatar

5-10% of everyone in that entire age cohort (let's say 40 and below) are mentally disordered, maleducated, incompetent boobs. Antifa, etc., tend to attract the most virulent of them, but the streets and colleges are full of them too.

Let's see what they replace their retard governor with. Let's see where the country goes in the midterms. The choices are obvious, the directions the parties are going is obvious. Let's see how it goes.

Thank you Ann. Classic Coulter. Hennepin County Prosecutor Mary Moriarty is frighteneing. After personally backing away from the coverage (have to not watch all the propaganda and clear the head), my take is the same—Frey and Walz are individually still in the hot seat. President Trump is leadership in trying to de-escalate the happenings. Our First Lady called for peaceful protests and a call for unity. An investigation of who made what decisions and when would tell us a lot about the Minnesota and liberal angst and violent actions taking place.

Good catch on Ashli. The NYT reported she had been divorced, married twice, fallen into debt, and once gotten into an altercation with a former girlfriend of her second husband, Aaron Babbitt. These enterprising reporters had managed to retrieve the complaint filed by the girlfriend and quote it extensively—all of this within twenty-four hours of Ashli’s being shot and killed. I could write about this double standard. In fact, I did, ASHLI: The Untold Story of the Women of January 6.

Dave49's avatar

Rush Limbaugh slandered Koresh, too, and blamed the murder of the Davidians on him when it was lesbian Janet Reno and trigger happy ATF agents who were responsible. Koresh regularly left the compound unarmed to go into town and easily could have been apprehended.

Let's not forget that the media routinely referred to Ashli Babbit as an "armed insurrectionist" and/or "insurrectionist" even when she was never armed and neither were any other January 6 protestors. Unlike Pretti Ashli Babbit was not carrying a loaded gun with two high capacity magazines. Renee Good and Pretti were the real insurrectionists in their attempts to impede ICE from lawfully executing their duties to apprehend and deport criminal illegal aliens.

This incident has caused the left to reevaluate the second amendment and they now love it and invoke it ever three seconds when discussing the Pretti incident. It wasn't that long ago that the left lectured the right about how the 2A was anachronistic because the government is too well armed and besides it only protects government militias anyway and doesn't confer an individual right to own an AR-15 let alone a semi auto handgun with high cap magazines that Pretti was carrying. But now they are out shouting "Molon Labe!".

Exactly! Thank You!

This leftist strategy first appeared on my radar when "motorist" Rodney King was everywhere. At some point I realized that no one else in the history of the planet had been described as a "motorist" and it was certainly not the most relevant or interesting of about a dozen other terms that could have been used. But the media wanted to describe and define him as just a regular guy minding his own business when, for no reason whatsoever, the cops decided to try to beat him to death and so he became a "motorist."

In my case, Greg and Travis McMichael and neighbor, Roddy, were white supremacist who ran after and shot a young innocent jogger. The Jogger was a felon who was seen in a neighbors home several times where electronics missing, neighborhood break ins for months, he was seen with a gun, criminal history . Local stores called him the “ jogger” because he would stretch in front of the store, run through and grab items off the shelf and run out. Greg and Travis x veterans and law enforcement with no history of ANY complaints in their careers . The rationale was to follow until police arrived. They were not even chasing him. The truck was parked in an intersection so he could be watched from all sides. Pure lies!! He certainly did not deserve to die, but the circumstance of his death has been completely distorted.

Penn's avatar

I watched the video. The jogger grabbed the gun. He grabbed it. The McMichael pulled it away. The gun went off. Now they are imprisoned for life. Tell me this is justice . No it is not, but this is our future.

Penn's avatar

Their ‘convictions’ are just SO wrong I can’t believe it. This could never happen in 1950 America.

But it’s not 1950 America is it? This is 3rd world America.

Walz is a Criminal-no question; Frye doesnt rate a comment here (without expletives) The environment was set up for this to happen and Walz and congressional dems and their funding arms planned it-if not hoped and prayed for a few kills. The media is complicit as always. AC never pulls punches or sugar coats. But what can be done-the cops are not allowed-apparently by statute- to touch violent, law braking libs and pink ladies (thanks Dick Nixon!). Perhaps FEDs should leave and let Miniliberalolis suffer its fate with criminals on streets etc.

“ Moriarity is such a left-wing lunatic that the other lunatics, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, had to take a murder case away from her, after she offered the perps a two-year sentence in a juvenile facility”. Another gem Ann!

Al Gonzalez's avatar

Woe is us when we have to depend on the logic of lunatics to protect us from the very looney.

There is a certain commonality between Pretti and Good that get the media screaming from the rooftops. But you can't say it.
