JAN 6 HEARINGS: Dems in touch with ordinary Americans, once again

1) Democrats are giddily predicting their PRIME-TIME January 6th hearings will be like the Fulbright hearings, the Watergate hearings, the Army-McCarthy hearings!
Even assuming this week’s hearings weren’t a re-hash of 88% of all media content since January 6, those days are over. Nearly half the country watched the Watergate hearings. Today, the most-watched news network, Fox News, averages a couple million viewers a night.
Listening to Democrats say, for the 4 millionth time, DONALD TRUMP ALMOST DESTROYED OUR DEMOCRACY! isn’t exactly riveting TV.
On CNN yesterday, a commentator complained that a third of the country won’t even be watching these hearings! So she’s expecting two-thirds of the country to be watching.
Yes, I’m sure, they’re out shopping right now, buying beer and chips, preparing for the thrill and excitement of listening to the same thing we’ve heard for the past five years -- about a former president, who is fully out of office and never will be in office again.
More people watched the Depp-Heard trial, which will have more impact on their lives.
2) Liberals have spent the past five years trying to discredit Trump – inventing things, claiming he was a puppet of Putin, he engaged in collusion with Russia, the pee-pee tape, he groped an advice columnist and on and on.
Pro Tip: No one believes anything you say about Trump, anymore. We don’t need another years-long investigation to find out … Democrats are still hysterical drama queens.
The whole point my book, “Resistance Is Futile,” was that even when the left had a valid complaint with Trump, instead of sticking with what he actually did, the media would run off and accuse him of something he absolutely did NOT do.
Trump supporters would be standing there, ready to admit, Yeah, that was a stupid Tweet, so unbecoming of an adult, much less a president. And then …

3) Of all the things you’ve cried “Wolf!” over, January 6 is the most pathetic.
The Democrats’ argument is that it was legal “incitement” when Trump told rally-goers to walk to the Capitol and “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” The words “peacefully and patriotically,” you see, were a secret Bat-Signal, meaning, “commit wanton acts of violence for no purpose whatsoever.”
4) We didn’t almost lose our DEMOCRACY on Jan 6, and saying so over and over again just reminds everyone that you are ridiculous fruitcakes.
Assume the most extreme fever dreams of the left had come true: The protesters hung Vice President Mike Pence! Instead of just taking her lectern, they held House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at gunpoint! Maybe they assassinated her, too! Armed men in “TRUMP” hats occupied the Capitol for days!
Now what? Either:
a) The military takes the Capitol back and the perpetrators are sent to prison for a long, long time, (much as is happening now for something more like student radicals taking over the Dean’s office).
b) U.S. government officials, from the secretary of defense to the attorney general announce: Oh, okay, we’ll install Trump as dictator.
Could one of you complete raving loons answer that with a straight face?
5) No one gives a crap.

Can you imagine? A tourist gets to the capitol -- and the Visitors’ Center is closed.
If AOC can prevent this kind of scurrilous thing from ever happening again, I don’t care about my future, or the future of my children or my grandchildren.
You'd think the fact that Biden was sworn in would be enough to put the matter to rest.
Just as the legacy media, led by Woodward & Bernstein, have been hectoring us for DECADES on how WATERGATE IS THE MOST HORRIFIC SCANDAL EVER! so also they will keep pumping up the faux significance of Jan 6 : INSURRECTION!! THE MOST HORRIBLE ATTACK ON OUR DEMOCRACY IN AMERICAN HISTORY!!! Movies will be made, songs will be sung, and children will be taught in Government schools that five brave policemen were gunned down by Meth-addled Republican Trump Supporters in cold blood. They were only stopped because of the bravery of Nancy Pelosi and AOC, who used their legendary Kung Fu skills to beat the usurpers into submission!
Media trash will do this for the rest of our lives and beyond, all to fill the airwaves with a noise they think will prevent Sane America from asking about and learning the truth.
Any voices that manage to penetrate this Wall will be instantly shouted down and called "far-right conspiracy nuts" and worse.
This is what they do. This is what they have always done.
Journalism is dead. Academia is dead.
And the truth will be locked away forever in the same warehouse where The Ark Of The Covenant was placed in 'Raiders Of The Lost Ark'.
