Trump dodges TWO bullets this week! (Judge Aileen Cannon dismisses documents case)
Morning Joe canceled this Monday for 1 day of Trump-is-Hitler-free commentary on MSNBC in deference to Saturday’s assassination attempt.
Please, no more women (of either sex) in the Secret Service, the military, the police or the NFL.
We’ll probably never know the motives of Trump’s would-be assassin — in contrast to Kyle Rittenhouse, whom Biden immediately designated a white supremacist.
What does this mean for the election? Who will the VP be?
Note: This episode was recorded right before Trump’s announcement of Sen. JD Vance (R – OH) as his 2024 running mate.
Last week’s show:
The logic on the democratic side now is - it's over. They've lost. No one wants to come forward and run INSTEAD of Biden. They are all more than happy to let Joe take the loss. They'll wait until 2028 rather than Hubert Humphrey themselves in a losing cause.
Kim Cheatle needs to step down and take the rest of the cast of female Ghostbusters with her. Their prep and reaction were all subpar to say the least. The Secret Service, like the NFL, like Seal Teams, like ballistic missile submarines, is no place for DEI patty cake. They should've never allowed Trump to come back up and wave his fist (although it was probably the high point politics this year), and a good part of the rest of the sortie looked like a bad high school play.
And after I mentioned it 6 weeks ago, someone is finally giving RFK Jr. Secret Service protection. To say they booted this decision months ago is to give boneheads a bad name. Do they not understand optics? Biden has been putting together a campaign that would make Maduro proud.
Go home gramps, it's over.
Vance appears to be a great choice. Humble roots, wicked smart, a marine, a VC finance guy, a Yale grad, young (only 39 yrs old), not afraid to change his mind, a senator, has a very smart wife, a real winner all the way round. Reminds me a bit of DeSantis. But we will learn more.
