Mental illness might be described as an incapacity to recognize reality...and transgerder people are mentally ill because they cannot recognize and deal with phyical reality.
If one has physical male genitalia, then he is a guy.
If one has female genitalia, then she is a girl.
A person who is "confused" as to his or her gender is clarly mentally disturbed.
Another point that seems to escape notice, one's genes also show one's gender.
To get to my particular point - how the Media twists all of this:
1) Liberals claim that these confused people should be taken at their word and given the gender identity
This is a very odd idea...especially when applied to other examples of delusions.
If your 6 year old announces that he has decided that he is Napoleon, are we supposed to buy him an old fashioned French uniform and a 3 cornered hat and address him as "General?"
No. Obviously, if a child persisted in such a delusion, a responsible parent would seek psychiatric help...but psychiatric help to cure the child of his delusion rather than to enable it.
2) The System journalists and media repeatedly make the claim that "haters" (i.e. anyone who disagrees with them...us) who try to deny people gripped by a delusion that their gender identity is different from their physical anatomy psychiatric and medical procedures to assist them in transforming their identity cause many transgender people to commit suicide.
I think it's far more likely as the other 5 previous posters have said, that such people are by definition mentally ill from the get-go and therefore more likely to commit suicide.
Everytime liberals as a bloc come up with something as nutty as "the transgendered", I believe that surely they have reached bottom and this has to be the end of their craziness.
But liberals have no bottom. There's always some new "ism" they come up with.
I am trying to figure out what their next discovery will be.
I suggested to several friends that the next cause will be "ugly liberation", a movement demanding that ads for clothes, etc. feature obese, ugly people.

To add to your point, my contention is that "gender affirming care (GAC)" should be care that affirms the actual gender of the person, explains the serious ramifications of trying to alter one's body to appear as a different gender, and deals with the associated psychological issues getting them passed the difficult time in their life. Instead, GAC, affirms and indulges the delusion to nearly infinitely insane levels. Practically the same thing is going on with so-called "furries." Maybe that will be the next nutty case. Someone dressed as a deer shoots hunters in the woods or something like that.
You really have to keep up more. Did you ever wonder where the furies idea came from? In England which is where the latest absurdities come from before they reach California changing your species is the latest craze . People are transitioning into dogs cats ect if you can change your gender why not change your species while you’re at it. Of course sane people realize that gender is determined by the sperm if it brings an X chromosome you’re a female a Y chromosome you’re a male. These people tend to have all kinds of health issues & tend to die at a young age but if they survive long enough it might be appropriate to do surgery to try to make them one way or the other. This is similar to what happens in Down’s syndrome only on a different chromosome. Personally I would choose being a guy . Why would anyone want to be a chick .
