As the attacks on Trump and Vance roll in, remember this.
It's not the first time the media has abandoned all reason with Trump.
The New York Times, April 18, 2019. Excerpt:
The American political and media elites that spent the first two years of the Trump administration promoting the Russian collusion hoax have some explaining to do. And not merely explaining: They owe the president an apology.
As Attorney General William Barr said on Thursday before releasing the Mueller report, “After nearly two years of investigation, thousands of subpoenas, and hundreds of warrants and witness interviews, the special counsel confirmed that the Russian government sponsored efforts to illegally interfere with the 2016 presidential election but did not find that the Trump campaign or other Americans colluded in those schemes.”
And yet nearly the entire complex of elite media was actively complicit in promoting the biggest political conspiracy theory in American history: that Hillary Clinton lost the election because Donald Trump conspired with Vladimir Putin to — well, that was always a moving target — but to somehow deprive Mrs. Clinton of victory.
…
Gallup polling shows that for 69 percent of Americans, trust in the media has fallen over the last decade. Among Republicans, it’s 94 percent; for independents, it’s 75 percent and for moderates it’s 66. Only among self-identified liberals and progressives does a majority continue to trust the media. They like what they hear.
..
But why is it not enough to simply acknowledge that you dislike Mr. Trump and disagree with his policies? What psychological purpose does adding the fiction of a conspiracy serve?…
[T[he operating principle was that of the zealot: Believe the narrative regardless of the lack of evidence, squint to see justifications where there are none and then in an intoxicated frenzy of moral superiority use any weapon at hand to destroy your enemy.
This is the thesis of my 2018 book, ‘Resistance is Futile: How the Trump-hating Left Lost Its Collective Mind’ — not just on Russian collusion, but on Trump’s alleged lies, racism, sexism, “admission” to sexual assault, etc. etc.
Excerpt:
The Resistance imagines indignation gives their apoplexy dignity. Instead of admitting they’re enraged that this clown moved into Obama’s house, liberals say: The nation is in crisis! On election night, NBC’s Mark Halperin informed Stephen Colbert’s audience, “Outside of the Civil War, World War II, and including 9/11, this may be the most cataclysmic event the country’s ever seen.” Since then, it’s been a game of one-upmanship, to see who can issue the most shocking denunciation of Trump.
“My advice to the Resistance is: Get Trump on the worst thing he’s actually done, and stop running off with Wouldn’t it be great if he raped and murdered a nun? You’re right: if Trump had done that, he would be finished, done, put a fork in him. Unfortunately, he hasn’t committed that particular crime. What the Resistance is accusing him of is even crazier: Donald Trump plotted with the Russkies to steal the election from the most qualified person ever to run for president!
If only The New York Times had listened to me, they wouldn’t be stuck with another embarrassing, Walter Duranty-style Pulitzer Prize.
Just ask them if masks work against Covid , if the vaccines worked , and the school closures and lockdowns made any difference. When they start with the mask business, give up.
Ask them if they support DIE, which means they oppose the meritocracy.
And the last question should be did Obama’s daughter get into Harvard as an Affirmative Action Baby or as a third generation Harvard legacy ( daddy and Grandpa)?
They are all brainwashed
Yep. The dem "believers" are looking more and more deranged on everything that apposes their fantasy. And more hostile against us "infadels." Now, if they could only convince us to bow down to their religion five times a day..
